The pick come so fast it almost doesn’t matter I think….
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Looks like dumars offered a deal to the raptors

Joe Dumars: "When you get a chance to get two lottery picks in one draft, you're accounting for the following year...when we drafted at 7, we started at 9 and went all the way until we got a deal...When you identify a player who you think can be part of the foundation, you go and get him"

Raptors usually give out real contracts in the second round, so hopefully some teams in front get cheap and players want to come here instead.

Ugh…

This has been the most boring Raptors draft that I can recall.
A pick who might turn out to be good, but doesn’t seem to have star potential.
A flurry of trades, none involving us.
And a shockingly dumb trade that was apparently offered to us, yet it seems that we turned it down…

going from 9 to 23 would have been a huge fall.

I think the raps only had 20 or 21 first round grades.

The one benefit to buying a late second is this team will have some immediate trade filler since they, to my recollection, no longer have any outstanding draft rights they can use in a deal. That's why we had to "give" a Top 55-protected 2nd rounder in that James Wiseman salary dump. Having one of those overseas "never come over but got the name on the books" draft rights helps with making a future marginal move.

I want to say Ryan Kalkbrenner? Box Plus-Minus of +12.2 last season.

I kind of f*ck with the Suns draft thus far. Get longer, get more defensive, get younger and you got #41 to add to this team too?

Probably still not a great team in 2025/26 but they'll be more fun to watch.

How confident are we in the Hornets to make a move that makes sense instead of just relying on Nurkic and whoever they overpay for in free agency?

Return to Toronto Raptors
