If the Jazz really are dead set on a PG instead of a big (and Williams is off the board at #2), I would hope they consider trading down with us (sort of like the VC/Jamison deal), it really makes perfect sense for them from a cap standpoint. The Cavs aren't going to pull a Minny and take two PGs, so they'll get their guy on a smaller contract. Meanwhile that would ensure we can pick the big we want by leapfrogging Cleveland.

Probably not going to happen. Today was a big for Enes. He came out of hiding and impressed everyone.

Keep faith that someone will do something stupid in the top-4. Hopefully Cleveland since they get a make-up.

Why can't we make it worthwhile for Cleveland to flip their 4 for our 5?

Because they'd likely want the player we would select at 4. Bboyskinnylegs makes a great point if Utah wants a point guard. Either Kemba Walker or Brandon Knight is guaranteed to be there at 5.

If a big is our target, Cleveland is the enemy. The Jazz are our friend.

Well I was thinking that if we move up one spot we are guaranteed either Kanter or Knight. At 5 we could get neither. Despite the Knight criticism he is going to go high with his high ceiling etc.

If you want Knight, stay at 5. He'll be there waiting for you at slightly less money.

I do want knight but only if Kanter is gone. Utah could easily take Knight at 3. But I'll believe it when ~I see it.

I think the rumors out of Utah could be a smokescreen to pressure other teams who are pursuing Knight into trading up to get him while giving up assets to Utah. In reality I dont see how them picking Knight is going to work at the moment with Devin Harris there. In all probability Utah is probably bluffing in taking Knight in hopes of acquiring more assets while getting the guy they really want.

I guess we're guaranteed either Kanter, Kemba or Knight.

After today's measurements, I'm really warming up to Kemba. That being said, with guards you generally either have minutes for them or you don't - it's easy to give 25 minutes to a big man...

If it comes down to Knight vs. Kemba it will be interesting to see how the Demar factor plays into it. In that they know each other. I think Knight is the better prospect.

I want to start hearing some rumours of BC contacting Golden State.

I'd give them Bargnani or even Davis + no.5 for Steph Curry + a bad contract. Whether they'd take it seriously is another matter but that call needs to be made.

It won't. Remember when Bosh said he'd prefer LaMarcus Aldridge and BC took he who's name won't be mentioned?

Davis + no.5 is pretty enough, don't need to add a bad contract.
Bad for small are not often, and 2 lottery picks for 1 is pretty reasonable.
However, I don't think they need PF, maybe they need a SF.

Kemba Walker measured 6'1 in shoes according to a source in CHI. That's huge for his draft stock.

I do wonder if he'll factor marketability into the pick. Kemba would garner some much needed attention to our franchise. His exciting style of play would attract some casual fans. I'm sure BC wouldn't mind a spike in ratings, jersey sales and attendance to kick off his new contract.
