That leaves OG, whom I peg at a higher prospect value then say a Herro. OG can fit with Portland's rebuild nicely, much better than Herro (or Herro's 3rd party trade value return) would.

But OG is obviously not enough for Dame... so then its a matter of how much extra is needed... I see MAsai offering 2 FRP's + no swaps, and Portland looking for 4 FRP's + swaps. Will they agree to something in the middle?

A Dame / GTJ / Siakam / Barnes / Poeltl / Schroeder / Dick / Precious base rotation would be exciting to watch. Probably still lack shooting though.

Zero interest from POR.

No counter offer.

Im officially sold on barnes and gutting the bench for lillard.

Assuming we dont give up much draft capital and can find a league avg bench;

Gtj lillard og siakam jakob

with schroder, koloko and two mystery bench players would possibly be the vegas betting faves next year.

Ill take that 2 - 3 year window plz.

Underwhelming unless a third team sends POR solid assets for OG.

Wow. I don't see Portland getting a better offer than that. You certainly don't get a better offer from Miami.

LOL I forgot about copyright issues :o :D Starved for resolution.....and fan drama... :D :D

I wonder if there would be interest from OKC, they need to amalgamate talent as they've run out of room lol. Maybe Herro to OKC for Bertans, Dipo, Dieng, Heat's 2025frp, 2srps (for taking Bertan's mess of a contract) and ship the players with Lowry, Jaquez, plus 3 frps and 2 swaps to Portland for Lillard and Nurkic. This would take the Nurkic contract off the Blazers hands and allow them to trade Bertans as an expiring the following year. Can happen after September 4th and might be the best deal the Blazers get.

If that was possible, I wouldn't mind Toronto getting involved and have Herro redirected to the Raptors along with Cason plus picks for Pascal. :D

Giddey, SGA, JWill, Pascal, Chet would be one helluva of starting 5.

I’d do it too but I don’t see how the money lines up. We would have to send OG, Boucher, Thad, Otto and Precious to make it work. Blazers already have 18 guys coming to camp I believe so this would take a lot of creativity I think. This trade would put that 22 guys

They only have 12 under guaranteed contract and 1 of those is a partial.

Well then, giddy up.

Scoot/Simons/Sharpe/OG sounds like fun

With health and a little luck that team could do some damage.

I lol’ed that was a fun read. Still laughing in fact.

A third team would be needed to consolidate but

Barnes, boucher, young, flynn, porter, dick gets you there.

Only downside i can think of is were committing to a gstate level tax bill the next season i think.

Also if we can manage to keep boucher (barton, temple, achiuwa?) the rotation is basically set.

Gtj lillard og siakam jakob.

Shroder, boucher, mcdaniels, koloko, find a decent wing somewhere.

We’d beat the sheet out of teams down low and rain bombs on them all day.

That’s a title contender.

Naw, TNT is just making a reasonable bet. Either Dame is on Miami, or it's one game in the tanker.

Let’s say for arguments sake the Raptors offer OG, Precious, 3 firsts plus filler for Dame? Assuming OG resigns, how does that look from Portland’s side?

Underwhelming unless a third team sends POR solid assets for OG.

So you don’t want OG and picks. You don’t want Herro and picks. But you do want to sit Lillard and expect teams to give you better offers? This stance from Portland does not seem reasonable.

Overpaying non star players is a red carpet to mediocrity . POR is already overpaying Grant. It may be possible to overcome that mistake.

It will not be possible to overcome the mistake of having 2 overpaid, non star forwards on the team. Not sure why this is so difficult to understand.

Herro is even worse as a player inferior to OG with a skill set that duplicates what POR already has.

POR needs to sit Lillard to avoid injury. Done caring about about what he wants.

Its a JRoy stance, not a portland stance. we don't really know what portland wants. this has been mishandled both by the blazers FO and also by lillard.

Agreed this whole deal was badly bungled.
