The Clippers should look to make a trade. Is Blake and CP a winning combo? Pretty soft imo. But I'm not sure they could get fair value back for Griffin. And if not him what else could they part with to upgrade the team?

I wonder what it's like to play for Philly right now. How serious the practices are, the plane/bus rides home after a loss, and how well they're getting along with each other.

They need a legit 3&D wing. CP3 and Blake are just fine as a combo and the furthest thing from soft.

Not a fan of Wiggins shot selection. Iv seen him a few times now pass up an open 3 only to shoot a contested mid range jumper seconds later. With his size/athleticism he should be able to get to the rim a lot more.

Defensively they are a soft duo. Offensively no, I agree with that. CP is a PG so that's not on him. I can't think of any PG's that bring that defensive toughness I expect from a PF. It's more that CP makes $20 million and I'm a skeptic that an expensive PG is needed to win. When's the last time a team won with a max contract PG? Honest question.

To me, Blake's a great player but much more so on the offensive end. That is the problem he is better offensively than defensively. Much like other Clipper players.

Seems many teams could use a good 3&D wing. What can the Clippers give up to get that? Reddick lol? Not Crawford they need to keep him. CP and Blake could be fine together with the right parts, but I don't think they have those parts currently and I see little the Clippers have to offer other than Blake in order to get a nice return.

A guy who's been impressive is KJ McDaniels. Signed the 1-year deal and I think he'd be a restricted FA after this season. Great defensive potential, and he's hitting 40% from the arc so far.

In other news, Rasual Butler seems to have remembered how to shoot a basketball again. The 47 year old SF, best known for his key turnover in a game he never logged a minute in, Butler shot a blistering .273 from the land beyond as a member of the Raptors. And while it's still early in the season it's certainly all business as Rasual, as he's connecting from downtown at an alarming clip of .548

Don't know what you got till it's gone...

I like that he's grooming his game for the future. Raptors fans are conditioned to disassociate mid range jumpers with effective basketball, but those that can convert on their mid range jumpers efficiently on a high usage are the stars in this league. Eventually he's going to be a player that will be shouldering the bulk of offense for the Wolves and he's going to need to master that mid range area. So far I'm encouraged by what I see of him. He's posting up, incorporating different moves into his toolkit, and attempting to be a playmaker. Very sloppy so far, but it's all growing pains.

Wiggins doesn't have NBA level handles yet. If he drives to the rim, he'd just get stripped.

But if he starts developing bad habits now it doesn't project well for his future. I understand wanting to get respect by knocking down the midrange jumper, but some of these shots are from 18 feet off the jabstep which really is just a bad shot by anyone.

^ I wish BC took Leonard instead of JV, it would have helped both teams out. But in my imaginary world I still would want the Spurs to develop Leonard for us instead of just drafting him. I'm not too confident with our teams ability to coach up young talent.

Wiggins has been a real disappoint thus far.
