People love Davion Mitchell who at 6'3" is way too undersized to be a two-guard ; he is basically Ty Maxey size. Because Baylor is such a big thing, he likely gets picked in the first round.

I 100% prefer Deuce McBride in the second round who is just an inch shorter but probably a more diverse scorer, equal defender and better athlete than Mitchell. Here is he doing the same thing to Cade:

They're very similar talents, but McBride is much younger.

I don't think they are similar. Stats are similar, but Mitchell attacks at the rim, while McBride takes more jump shot. Mitchell reminds me of Lowry on those charges, while McBride with a flop:

In usual draft, Isaiah Jackson (and perhaps Usman Garuba) would be drafted around late 1st or 2nd round. Playing for Kentucky may have him higher now.
Depends on the measurement as well. If Isaiah Jackson is measured more than 7'4 wingspan (currently 7'3), he may be drafted in the low 1st. Robert Williams with 7'4 wingspan was drafted by Boston in late 1st, Isaiah Stewart last year (7'4 wingspan) was drafted around 15 in a weak draft.

I also see Todd raising, but he is a SF/PF, not a C like Isaiah Jackson

For me the concern with Jackson is weight. He was only 206 with a small hand length (9 inches) when they measured him at the Kentucky Pro Day.

Garuba is likely an inch shorter in height but he is around 230 and looks strong as heck playing in the second best league in the world.

The guy to watch out for as is Yoan Makoundo. He is a legit freak athlete a little bigger than both Garuba and Jackson playing on Cholet. Loads of good stuff about him here:
http://jtmbasketball.blogspot.com/2021/02/circling-globe-part-2-yoan-makoundou.html

I think he is a guy to look at with a second round pick. Could let him develop in Europe for another year or bring him over.

That is interesting, but no, it was horrible when Jonas was developing in Europe, it was a waste of time with evidence. Their team wants to win, not develop young players.

How can we acquire a mid or late first rounder? There are so many intriguing players to consider. For example, he's super raw but Isaiah Jackson looks fantastic. He looks like Kenyon Martin without the obnoxious mannerisms.

Imagine Todd and Queta with our 2nds! :o :o

Rashard Lewis was a 2nd round pick (though #32).

That 1998 draft is like this with 5 stars, VC, Dirk, Pierce, Jamison and Bibby, but we know who the top 5 are.

Cade - Pierce
Mobley - Dirk (unicorn big)
Jalen Green - VC
Kuminga - Jamison
Suggs - Bibby

Sign me up for wanting Mobley. He is going to be good. I'm sure Suggs is good but I wouldn't really notice him had I not read about him on here. He looks solid but unspectacular. Wagner looks like a good fall back if bad lottery luck. I'm happy to read that people are interested in prospects outside the top 5.

edit: also, is Suggs realy 6' 4? He doesn't look it to me. Maybe because players on his team are big. Me and a friend were joking Timme looks like he's 27!

The Raptors probably do need Cade more than Mobley. Getting Mobley would still have FVV and Pascal still be the alphas taking shots whenever. Getting Cade would have them bow down eventually.

Pascal has turned into Derozan on the offensive end, crying for fouls and shooting under 30% from 3.

Yeah and I feel having a star wing is more important. We could always try to get a decent-good center in a trade or in free agency. We need an alpha cause Siakam isn’t (he’s best as a 2nd option)

If we ended up with the second pick would you want our FO to take Suggs/Kuminga/Green over Mobley? Some people have him as the undisputed 2 while others seem to have him as the worst of the 5.

If possible I’d try to trade down from 2 to 3 or 4 and get Kuminga in that case. Otherwise I’d take Mobley if we kept the 2nd pick since he’s still a very unique talent

Mobley. Suggs is Brandon Roy, Kuminga is Mashburn and Green is Zach Lavine.

If Suggs is indeed Roy it would be a good pick too. Roy would be nasty in today’s NBA

Suggs for OG and that's all. I wouldn't trade Cade or Mobley for OG no question. Jalen Green for OG probably not. Kuminga, we'll he might be on par with OG already offensively while OG is the superior defender. Probably would rather have Kuminga starting the rookie contract.

you overvalue OG

I think all 5 of those guys ceiling is so much higher than OG

and on a cheaper longer, contract...younger too?! no brainer

Ceiling for OG is around there, just that he is not reaching his ceiling by now, as he is still handling the ball a bit high, while we are not making use of his mid-range jump shot.

Was just looking up draft lottery odds. NBA is actually pretty crazy. Top 3 have same odds of winning first OA at 14%.

1- 14%
2- 14%
3- 14%
4- 12.5%
5 - 10.5%
6- 9%
7 - 7.5%

Getting to those top 5 I believe is crucial. Also prevents us from slipping too far in case we lose the lottery.

He may raise to the top 15, but I might hesitate a bit to draft him around top 10.
Furthermore, we already have enough PG, and neither want to have duel PG without a defensive C.

Unless we are sure not to keep Lowry or Bembry, otherwise, Lowry/VanVleet/Bembry/Flynn is a lot of roster spot for the PG/SG spots.
However, Mitchell will definitely a successor for Lowry, even he may not be as good as Lowry.
