Not nearly enough urgency in his coaching tonight. Russell had no business even playing in the 2nd half, let alone starting, with the season on the line.

Hopefully this puts an end to people wanting Dlo. Dudes way too inconsistent to believe in him

People wanted D’Lo? Do we really need another inefficient chucker who doesn’t play defense and chokes come playoff time?

I wonder if Lakers will match Reeves contract if he gets like 20 mill a year. It's going to be poison pill contract if they match anything more than 15 million.

teams like Detroit/Houston/mMagic should offer him 3/60. He is really good and doesn't do too much, not much of a high ceiling though.

There are some who think Jordan Poole is a good idea too
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I actually remember a few people on here wanting to trade for DLo. Pretty shocking stuff.

Seems like NBA is ready to move on from LBJ

It's nearing the end of an era. Not just LeBron. KD, Curry? The two guys that should be the transition players IMO are injury prone. Kawhi and AD. Then of course Giannis. Butler is no spring chicken. Seems like a change of guard is near.

I think there’s mutual interest in the two sides to workout a fair market deal. Lakers have $90M expensed to Lebron and AD alone so they’ll need to retain whatever’s worked for them thus far.

Without Reaves they lose to GSW badly as crazy as it sounds.

The Lakers third best player isn't Reaves, it's Schroeder. Any defensive presence on Murray disappears if he isn't on the floor. Murray would drop 50 every night. Their only true 2 way player.

Reaves is a pylon that provides no help pressure, rebounding, you name it at the position. But they have no one better outside of the limited Rui post defense as a guy who can also score.

Denver has two guys in Brown and KCP who provide all the little things on top of their stalwart of Gordon. It's been the Lakers downfall.

Schroeder being a complete ghost scoring-wise has hurt the Lakers as well….anytine I watch him he’s usually dropping 16-20ppg but this series he’s a non factor

Austin Reaves this series:

Game 1:
23 PTS - 8 AST - 50% FG - 55% 3P

Game 2:
22 PTS - 5 AST - 50% FG - 55% 3P

Game 3:
23 PTS - 5 AST - 70% FG - 60% 3P

And they simply have no one else on the roster to put in in his stead. You could conceivably think of ways to replace Reaves with your other one-way scorers, but you had no choice but to accept whatever Schroeder was giving you.

Being deep, but shallow on the talent end continues to prove to be a bad mix in the playoffs.

Lakers are an elite halfcourt team on D but they forgot to defend the Nuggets in transition this series. As a result they've been down a few more points that catches up to them in the 4th.

It's weird how the Celtics just dumped Schroder for nothing. I thought Schroder was done but he's shown that he can contribute in the playoffs.

They shouldn't be a good defensive transition team neway. AD isn't the fastest big, LBJ has to pace himself, and their guards are kinda small/weak

That's what happens when you get to play off of LBJ n AD

Those % aren't gonna be the same when he's a 1st option 90mill coaching staffs are spending resources to scout n counter your game.

Exactly, It's not hard to play with two top 10 players. Reaves has looked fantastic though and not as bad defensively as I thought. The question is how are the Lakers even losing this series when their 3rd option is putting up those kinds of numbers? They just can't stop anyone and Denver is just hitting everything.

Not sure why playing great beside good players is seen as a negative.

Isn’t that what you want in a player ? Plus nobody is ever going to make him a first option lol, that’s ridiculous.
