Sweet pass. Shame Devoe is pissing his career away, to quote the immortal Rick James, "Cocaine's a helluva drug." Hopefully DJ can get his act together in Oregon.

Joseph and Kabongo are top 10 recruits while Pangos would be top 100.

lol...
U-17 team Canada captain, leads the team in points and assist (doubles the 2nd place teammate in assist) and 3rd in rebounds. Some people consider him to be the best Canadian prospect since Nash.

He also played at MSG in New York for the international team in the Jordan Classic. A couple other Canadians were there but no PG's.

Go to ESPN, Scout, and Rivals and tell me where Pangos is ranked. You think I am making that up?

ALSO forgot to post, here is an inside access look @ Huntington Prep where Canadians Negus Webster-Chan, Sim Bhullar, Stefan Jankovic and Francis Kiapway attend.

We follow them at the Montverde Academy Invitational where they finished 2nd overall loosing to Myck Kabongo and a top ranked Findlay team:

From twitter, @Nolanshulman

"According to Associate HC Todd Simon, Myck Kabongo set the single season assist record at Findlay Prep, handing out 187 on the year."

"Anthony Bennett set the Findlay Prep single season record for Field Goal Percentage, converting on a blistering 71.6% of his attempts"

"Bennett also led the Pilots in 3-point percantage this season; an impressive feat considering the shooters they have on their roster."

Keep in mind, Cojo and MK played high school ball in the states for high profile programs, while KP stayed in Canada. If Kevin had gone south, he would've been much higher ranked, the fact that ESPN has him as the 22nd ranked pg while he played at Denison speaks volumes about how good he is. Either way, I expect all three to be in the NBA\.

"Before all the hype — the college scouts, the national team appearances, the highlight reels and the Steve Nash comparisons — Kevin Pangos was throwing foam basketballs through a tiny hoop fastened to the wall in his red and white bedroom."

Thanks for sharing. This is the one Canadian prospect that I have no doubt will make the NBA. Very competitive, hard worker, very high basketball IQ, decent athleticism, amazing passer & great shooter.

He is in a different tournament because his team isn't as good. In the AAA OFSAA championship his team which was ranked #2 got upset in the second round, Pangos struggled

OFSAA and RSEQ recaps:

http://www.flagrantfouls.com/2011/03/pr ... nal-recap/

Vaughan captured the AAAA finals and Anderson won in AAA defeating Pangos and the Denison huskies. RSEQ is the Quebec provincial championships, second only to Ontario for producing basketball talent in Canada.

If you want to see Kevin Pangos' last 2 high school games for Denison here they are. We at CROWN live streamed the OFSAA AAA boy's basketball Day 2 and Day 3 in Niagara Falls.

Semi-final Dr. Denison(80) vs. Windsor Herman(51)
Kevin Pangos 23pts

http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/13203982

Final Anderson Whitby(69) vs. Denison(64)

Kevin Pangos 26pts against the Dynamic Duo of Dyshawn Pierre(26pts) and Justin Edwards(19pts while in foul trouble most of the game). Several D1 coaches were on hand including Georgia Tech to check out Edwards. Pierre is a straight up stud and was kinda under the radar before OFSAA but is now clearly gonna be in the sights of mid to high-major D1 schools! He may be running and gunning with TTC(Team Takeover Canada) this summer on the AAU circuit from what I hear!

Also check CROWN...www.crownmagonline.com for your latest in Canadian H.S. Hoops.

Recaps of All days at OFSAA AAAA and AAA including thorough breakdowns of Semis and Finals of both tournaments.
Congrats to Vaughan and Anderson for capturing gold medals!

Also, check out Denison's OFSAA AAA game against Governor Simcoe...livestreamed by CROWN
Kevin Pangos scored 31pts in the game and 26pts in the first half. He pretty much
shut it down after the first half. It was interesting talking to a few of the spectators including coaches and referees who had not seen Kevin play before and wanted to know if all the hype was warranted or not. There were a lot of doubters before the game tipped off...but after the 1st half in which Kevin gave the business to the opposing PG from Governor Simcoe...there was a whole gym full of Pangos' converts and believers. He showed that he was a couple notches above the competition. He used his hesitation, stutter moves as well as crossovers, floaters and pull-up threes to get anything he wanted on the court. He left the crowd wanting more and all were satisfied that they had seen one of the best PG's out of Canada put on an amazing display of basketball!
