I'm certain that if we do, a couple token Irving haters will emerge from the woodwork ready to troll any thread where he's mentioned. It's inevitable.

And we all know who the number one ultimate irving hater is. The guy is very busy trolling in the cavs' "hickson vs. dwill" board right now, dude has a huge man crush on PJ3 and a crazy grudge against irving/dwill/barnes

I think it will be more hand-wringing about his thought-to-be inevitable defection. We'll hear about him making some weird face after learning of the Raps' lotto win, somebody will read some anti-hoser sentiment into the way he ties his tie for the draft and tilts his hat when he receives it, then if the press conference starts late somebody will assassinate Bargnani.

And if he sucks, it'll be because his a "eurO" somehow born in Australia.

Lol PJ has bust written all over him. Sure he has a great NBA body but he isn't assertive enough. He can dominate both sides of the ball but doesn't. He's imo similar to Bargs in that manner

And Ed Davis and Williams front court is very small in length and weight. Would rather go with Kanter.

Williams is 6'8" 235 at the small forward spot, how's that small? Or are you another one of those people assuming we're gonna draft him as a 4th Power Forward for some reason?

Agreed, he has the potential to be what a scout called a Power 3. Think Larry Johnson of the Knicks.

Why does everyone make Davis out to be an undersized power forward?

He's taller than Griffin, has a better max vertical than Griffin and has a better 3/4 court sprint time as well. Now this is not me saying Daivs is better than Griffin as that would be ridiculous.

All I'm saying is that some people seem to think that Davis is small with relatively average athleticism, however that's simply not true. Yes Davis is very thin, but he has ideal height for the Power Forward position and pretty darn good athleticism as well.

Is it just me, I always think Davis plays like a centre. If he can add 25-30 pound of muscle he can seriously do well at C :D

I definetly prefer him at power forward, although I do agree that he plays like a center. However, he does have a decent stroke out to 15 feet and he should be able to succeed to a greater extent at power forward, with smaller matchups and such.

Anyways, if we miss out on Irving, Williams and Barnes (dependent on if he declares) then I like the future of a Kanter/Davis frontcourt, assuming Kanter is our next pick after those three.

Great news Derrick Williams is entering. Whether you think he's a 3 or 4, just be thankful another top prospect didn't opt out.

Personally, I agree D-Williams can be a power 3. He has a perimeter shot, his handles are there (not GREAT but he can create for himself), and we all know about his athleticism.

People talk about him being slow footed. This may be true, but what he lacks in speed I think he certainly makes up for in heart/motor. Also, there was a play in the Duke game where he out ran one of the Duke guards (I think it was the Duke game, could've been the Texas game) for a ball that was poked into the backcourt. Heart and motor are two traits that Irving, Williams, Kanter, Valanciunas and obviously the lesser tier prospects possess, so that's a good thing. That's what Perry Jones supposedly lacked.

Now let's see how Williams does in work outs. A wing duo of DeRozan-Williams would be capable of showtime tho.

If Barnes does declare and get drafted and if there happens to be a lock out, could he go back to school for a year? I think as long as he is not signed to a contract he can enroll in any university, and even if he is, why would it be prohibited?

Wait you're the one who said last year that Ed Davis would be a bust if I recall? lol :D

I'm not trying to make you feel bad (just kidding). I just don't see him as a 3 but he's not an ideal fit beside DeRozan. The both of them don't have good handles and would require a playmaking pg to facilitate their offence. But I hear what you are saying though.

I'm just hoping we either get the 1 pick to select Irving or the 3rd pick to select one of Kanter or Barnes (hoping he enters the draft). I don't want the 2nd pick and having to deal with D-Will because I think he is a risky pick.
