+1

I just don't see BC getting the greenlight on a "wait till 2013" player. Not with his leash

There's a crapton on pressure on everyone in the lottery to get a rookie who plays immediately, who sells tickets, who proves themselves so the GM can start constructing the team. When you get to the Warriors, Pacers, Sixers, etc. those teams need a guy who can get them to the playoffs

I'm sticking with my prediction that Valanciunas gets picked at #18 to Washington. Washington has no pressure to win immediately and a top 6 pick like Vesely or Leonard out this draft. They want to give McGee more minutes at C. The 18 pick was really just a luxury. That's who I see buying on this Valanciunas 2013+ roulette roll

I can honestly see Cleveland picking him at #4.

With Irving, they'd be able to sell tickets and would be able to take a high risk/high reward prospect like Val, due to the fact that Irving seems to be such a sure thing.

Clev is the team most likely to take him high I think. Same logic of "have another high pick to relieve the wait" + they're in deep tanking for years no matter what they do - had success with Ilgauskas

After that I think it's a hard fall as I see a bunch of the smaller market or wannabe playoff teams like Detroit, Mil, Cha, GS, Indy, Philly, NY having too much pressure to wait 2 years
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

If Minnesota drafts D-Will and Vesely goes to Washington then we'll have an even better chance at drafting one of the top SF's in 2012. Assuming the age limit doesn't change, one (if not all) of Barnes, Perry Jones, Q-Miller & Gilchrist will be on the board when we pick.

I think the top 5 is accurate.. but for some reason I have this feeling Walker isn't a BC type of guy and will look to trade the 5th pick with someone who like Walker maybe the Bobcats for their two picks?

Kanter at 6th spot? That's crazy. I don't care if he says he's joining wizards or declining interviews w/ teams...at the end of the day the Cavs will draft him at 4th. And yay Walker at 5th! Yee-ha!

Yeah, it's just not worth it from MEM's perspective to deal Gay for the 4th pick in this draft, unless they like Leonard, or Vesely maybe. They want more than cap savings, it appears.

BC would be foolish to do something like that..

The Cavs have Val over Kanter... I would say the top 6 is 90% likely to happen.
So, say hello to Walker in a Raps uni.

I would be surprised if BC passes on a C prospect in favor of a career 6th man prospect.

Plus I don't beloved Cleveland will take Val over Kanter. There is little logic behind that after his workouts and measurements

^ I dont think it's hard to believe at all... just like how we like Val over Kanter so do the Cavs.
When the Raps pick both Val and Knight will be gone and BC will have a choice at a player who wants no part of our team (Kanter) and Walker.

But u sure cavs can wait for val and his contract oversea? Wouldn't they rather get a guy who can come in and contribute right away especially having Irving who can probably contribute right away as well. They also have Varejao who plays the 5 spot, kanter wants to play 4 and val plays 5 too....see what I'm saying here. Hickson will be a good 6th man too.
