He's absolutely right, Centre Court. She entered into a relationship with a man she had to know is a racist **** as he's displayed it many, many times even out in the open for people to see. It is well-documented. Why be with a man like that and why would you not leave the second you realize that kind of behaviour is taking place? She's even half-black and she's willing to put up with his racist crap because he's her sugar daddy. He's a racist ****, but she's a scumbag as well.

You can drop the super simp captain save a ho act.

You're absolutely wrong.

You can drop the 'ho' part too, champ.

Way to prove me wrong.

No one would suggest she was a den mother for the girl guides.
What ever her motive are or expected it still exposes a NBA owner in a terrible light.
This has been a ongoing problem with Sterling's ownership but in the midst of the NBA playoff where his team is one of the favorites for the NBA championship.
Not one of the 1st miscues like his black history month a month late.

Maybe she could have waited until after the playoffs to release this.

My money is this was taped like 1yr ago. Pretty sure she tried to get something from Sterling before publicly releasing it.

Not sure if posted, but the NBA is getting involved:

Alleged Sterling talk being probed

An audio recording purportedly of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist remarks to his girlfriend is being investigated by the National Basketball Association.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass issued the following statement: "We are in the process of conducting a full investigation into the audio recording obtained by TMZ. The remarks heard on the recording are disturbing and offensive, but at this time we have no further information."

http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2014/story/_/id/10843525/nba-investigating-offensive-audio-recording-allegedly-los-angeles-clippers-owner-donald-sterling

Good. It would surprise and disappoint me if Silver and the owners remained silent about this, especially when players are quickly responding, and given the context of DS's history of racist remarks and deeds. Silence is tantamount to tacit consent.

He should have been punished by the league long ago but wasn't. I'm betting he won't be this time either. Now if I'm the players or Doc Rivers, I intentionally lose to the Warriors so he doesn't make a lot of $$$ and I make it clear I want out. Of course, none of them are about to do that anyhow.

That woman IMO knew the relationship was over, he basically says it in the video, and she wanted to get some attention, listen to what she is saying, she basically knew before hand he was a racist. She was ok with his views but the minute he calls her out and basically ends the relationship she feels the need to record him and send it to tmz.

She's a low form of life just as much as Sterling is.

Well, they are both low-lifes to be sure, but in my book, the racist is scummier than the gold-digger.

No, according to some of these quotes about him, he treats black people like they're animals at a circus or zoo. He likes people paying to see them put on a "show". He also seems to like the idea of black people working under white people. He's a real piece of work.

He's a disgusting human being and his girlfriend has absolutely no self respect; being that she's clearly mixed she's less than pathetic - have some dignity for crying out loud. It's really annoying seeing two garbage human beings blessed with so much yet don't deserve any of it.

As for Silver, he won't do anything -- too spineless, you can tell that just by looking at him.

Can't believe some of you guys. Yes that whore baited him, but it doesn't change the fact that he said those things, she didn't put the words in his mouth. Private conversation or not, there's no way to defend that.

I'm pretty sure there was a story about how he'd bring people into the Clipper locker room to look at them shower. I think it was around the time Corey Maggette played for them.

yeah Silver will fine Masai for saying "**** Brooklyn" but he will let "authorities" deal with this.

There was. It's referenced in the deadspin article that was posted earlier in the thread.

We've had multiple threads about Tim Donaghy, and yet this woman is the messenger some are choosing to belittle or ignore? Who gives a **** why she was in a relationship with him. Hitler could have recorded him, it wouldn't have changed the fact that Sterling says and thinks this abhorrent ****.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

She came into the relationship knowing what kind of scum he was, she had a change of heart when he cancelled there trip to Europe. She's just as guilty for supporting this man and needs to take some responsibility in this.

The sad part is she will probably be on every news/media outlet telling her sob story about how bad of a human being Sterling is, but when she was getting her bills paid she never had a problem.

I don't think anyone has ever defended Sterling (other than his lawyer). I hope the NBA can do something about it but I'm not sure he's broken any laws. Seems as though they would have already done something in the past 30 years if they could have.
