You can say the same about Lowry. That is my whole point. I'm not advocating we make DD our "alpha dog". We need to start playing the mold of teams like the Hawks. Having well rounded team with balance scoring and responsibility.
Pre-DD injury: Lowry
18.6PPG/6.4ASS/1.6TO (13.8FGA / 45FG% / 31.6%3FG)
Team - 13-3
December - Jan (15) DD Injury:
21.5PPG/8.7ASS/3.2TO (17.1FGA/44FG%/39%3FG)
Team Record - 12-9
Jan 15 - End of Season:
14.9PPG/5.7ASS/2.5TO (13.7FGA/38FG%/32%3FG)
Team Record - 24-21
As you can see Lowry best stretch did not concede with when we played our best ball. Granted it was tough schedule + missing starter, but his great play did not result in that many wins. Team was successful with his 18PPG/6Ass, and that is slightly above average stats for PGs in this league. I would not classify that as "carrying" teams unless you think Knight/Walkers/Bledsoe of this league are carrying their teams.
