Re: PG: Nurse and Starters all star caliber choke job
Tough game. If Ibaka doesn't have his worst game of the season, we have a very good chance. The Bucks are good, no question. But I still think the Raps give them a very good series with Gasol and Norm back, both of whom really make a difference against the Bucks.
If only Fred had hit that 3 after the OG steal on the inbounds to bring it to 4. Really wonder how the game would have turned out then. That was one of the most amazing steals I've seen in a while.
The Raptors didn't play well enough to win, but the refs really pulled some s@*t there in the second half.
One positive: I love that the bench guys didn't look at all intimidated in this game. Hopefully showing that we'd be able to count on them in a potential series.
On to the next one. Hopefully we have a full team when we face them in the last two games of the regular season matchup.

Couldn't make a pass, catch a pass or shoot for chit. It was a marvelous collapse but TDII and Thomas could have probably turned this game given time. Pretty sure in a series we could make it interesting.

You guys were red hot from 3 in the 1st half up until the final couple minutes. Those final minutes are what really decided it.
Good game to you. You guys have a D that's going to keep you in it. See ya in the ECF

Gonna be interesting to see Nurse use the PnR more to get Siakam more favourable match ups in the Post vs MIL in the POs. It will be a fun series if we face them.

Re: PG: Nurse and Starters all star caliber choke job
- Ibaka with his worst game of the season (2/15 for 5 PTS and just 5 REB with 3 TOV in 28 minutes)
- Lowry with some very low IQ plays after some bad calls while also having an awful shooting night (2/12)
- brutal end of Q2/entire Q3 where Milwaukee did whatever they wanted while we couldn't hit any of our open looks
- Milwaukee had a 36-21 FTA advantage (and scored 15 more points at the line in a rare excellent FT shooting night for them and a bit of an off-night for us)
In spite of all of this - and missing Gasol and Powell - we did a lot of good things. OG did an exceptional job guarding Giannis, and RHJ and Siakam were pretty good in limited possessions. We kept the Bucks off the offensive glass for the most part (8 OREB), though they had a few late in the 4th. I don't know why people are so down after this loss considering our starters were 75% garbage.

Why take the bait like that?
It's a regular season game. Rather have some controversy and some bickering during these boring times.

But contrary to what the GT will have you believe, we aren't the worst either. I think there's still quite a long way to go. If we do make it back to the Eastern Finals and Milwaukee is there, I firmly believe we have a shot to beat them. They are mental midgets. And like the way we were during the DeRozan/Lowry years, until they prove themselves in the playoffs, I won't believe a thing. No one on their team scares me. I am legit more worried about the Celtics in the playoffs.
What a stupid post.

Tbh well see more realistically what we can do with norm plus Gasol and with Matt thomas taking mccaws minutes. Unfortunately I don't see the latter happening. One can dream. But

Re: PG: Nurse and Starters all star caliber choke job
This is really weird, that Bucks team does not look a team about to win 70 games/dominant team at all..
This stats padding era is just strange: this was the worst I have seen Giannis look (since his rise-to-dominance) but then you see 19 points, 19 rebounds ,8 assists and 3 Blocks
Nothing impressive about the Bucks tonight though.
Injuries aside, I still have Sixers and Celtics as the bigger threats to us.

Would have liked to see PSizzle as the ball handler OR decision maker in a pick n roll situation.

The 50:50 calls mostly went to the Bucks.
Bucks kept the Raptors in the game with unforced turnovers.
Raptors got Bucks in the bonus with 6 minutes left in the 4th and then could not buy a call.
Logic says the Bucks had the refs so literally ... what exactly are you talking about?
The issue tho is the difference in **** attempts.
Raptors had 10 more 3pa than bucks but also had 10 more shots overall
So that means either bucks attempted slightly more shots in the paint or
Stats are skewed to not show FGA for bucks for any shots they earned fts on
Either way, I saw us settling for bad possession 3pta late in the shot clock
And saw Lowry completely turn down open long 2s to either force junk layups or force 3pt attempts

Re: PG: Nurse and Starters all star caliber choke job
Bucks really wanted this one and it showed. They were all nerves at the beginning but eventually settled down.
This would be an awesome playoff series, I really hope we get to see it. Getting Gasol and Norm back will be big to give Pascal more spacing. They were just leaving Serge wide open and it rattled him.

Not worried at all because backs are still trash and we are without Gasol plus my boi Norm whose a Bucks Killer in the playoffs. We lost this game because of Ibaka 1-10 chucking behind the arc. If we had the Ibaka of last game we would of dominated their @sses. Also people need to pipe down about Pascal thou I did say he disappear in big moments but I take it back, Pascal and OG will be with Gasol back.

Re: PG: Nurse and Starters all star caliber choke job
I think I am not bothered by this because the two players missing will add to fill in where there are gaps in play.
The best Toronto looked was attacking and moving the ball in transition. Norman Powell will add in significantly with his attacking skill. Davis has a bit of that and Norm is the refined version of it which will add more dynamic to the offense. OG just doesn't offer much on offense against a team like this.
Adding Gasol means less Ibaka exposure eon offense. Yes, Ibaka is a great player but against a high IQ team you need a guy like Gasol who keep the offense flowing. Ibaka's role is more of a pick and pop scorer, and if that isn't going he doesn't help the offense. Gasol coming back will allow Ibaka to play off the bench or not put so much pressure on him to make plays.
The big learning to me is getting into offense early, just attack them. The long threes often led to long rebounds and quick transition offense for the Bucks.
