I don't think it's possible that we'll face the Raptors this year, so who knows?

I remember when we sucked it seemed like every team on the schedule was a tough matchup.

In the Masai era there’s only a handful of teams where I look at the schedule and say that’s an “L”

Fred with a fantastic all around game - offence, defence, just everything. And with the exception of a couple of minutes in the 4th, I really like how he kept the ball moving all game. Great to see.

OG, Gary, and Svi providing the wing offence and defence, and Khem with solid minutes once again.

Yeah, we're so lucky to have Scottie, but also, how lucky is Scottie to get drafted to this team? Just a win-win situation all around.

Let's go!!!!

You do not "move the ball" when you're up with minutes left and there are no other ball-handlers on the floor.

That's basketball 101. OG is not good enough to handle the ball in that situation....and you certainly don't pass the ball around the perimeter in that scenario. That would be risking a turnover. The worst possible outcome. Also....you want to use as much clock as possible. Again....basketball 101.

With that lineup....there was no alternative to how Fred played those final minutes and the coaching staff will say the same thing. They could have easily told him to start 'moving the ball'....but that would go against all traditional basketball knowledge.

You're wrong about OG

i agree with him about OG, but literally everything he posts is to prove how awesome fvv is, meaning throwing everyone else under the bus other than fvv. it makes me not want to agree with the OG sentiment, but it's true, OG cant handle the pressure in those situations... but fvv has to be better at recognizing his options and trusting his teammates... thats one thing he continues to have a problem with... also hell dribble himself into trouble and throw a wild telegraphed pass that gets picked off because he has nowhere to go... trust your teammates, run an efficient offense, thats also part of being a good pg... contrary to what some people are trying to say, dribbling it out because you think there are no other options isn't actually a smart decision especially when the shot ends up being a contested jumper that you had to take because you wasted the entire shotclock doing nothing.

also trent is good when hes shooting well but he really is chucker central... tunnel vision galore... he plays exactly like the demar derozan i used to hate, except he doesnt get to the line... at least he plays defense i guess but dude needs to pass the ball once in a while.

He doesn't pump fake or get to the line, and he plays defense and shoots the three ball well...

everyone thought nurse was gonna improve the offense but he really just improved the defense... im actually disappointed in his offense, i thought it was gonna be a lot more movement, backdoor cuts, but its so much dribble hand off stuff with guys taking turns trying to drive and kick drive and kick even if theyre all not skilled enough for it... i guess i can see why players like it but it lacks a little organization and efficiency.

he plays like demar in that hes always shoot first and doesnt pass the ball... the nuances of his game are not what im talking about, im saying offensively, he often forces up shots when there are better openings... like he refuses to pass the ball, hes literally just hunting down his own shot...

Have you ever seen a game where OG is given the ball to kill clock with minutes left and a tenuous lead. It hasn't happened for a reason. Teams are gambling for steals and swipes in those situations. You give it to your best ball handler. If you have 2 on the floor....you can alternate. We don't have 2 of those guys in this lineup.

20/4.5/6.5 on 55 TS% in 34 games before COVID and 18.5/4/6 on 51 TS% in 18 games after he returned. He said numerous times in interviews in the second half of the year that he would get winded late in the game. I think his drop-off in play can be almost entirely attributed to COVID.

He's averaging 19/5/7 on 54 TS% to start the year now. His level of play is definitely sustainable and I think he has the best chance of anyone on the team at making the ASG if we continue to win.
