If we get a second round pick I would try HyunJin. Maybe we get luck and get the next Curry, Seth I mean.

Good call, Asia might once again be the new Africa for development. I like Hyung Jin better of course because he led Davidson over Alabama recently and there are some Klay similarities there. But I was wondering where Zeng was, he's on Ignite huh. Hmm...

Also check this random prospect.

I'm still somewhat surprised at ESPN listing Duren at 5th. His rebounds and blocks have come way down from where they were earlier this season. He has also put up a couple offensive duds scoring only 2 PTS twice this season. He projects mostly as a pick and roll, rim running big, who is pretty raw offensively (in my opinion). That doesn't mean he won't get better I just think 5th is high for him.

Really, he should drop to the 20's. Like a Zach Randolph. Geez Michael Bradley over Zach Randolph.

Box And One has him in the bottom of the first round.
I don't see him dribble with his left, so I guess there are more he needs to improve.

Someone mentioned him earlier

I am looking forward to see how he performs in LSU's next 3 games (Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee). It will be good to see how he stacks up against good teams.

Agree or not, some other draft site has been in the top, and here is the explanation:
Jalen Duren has been really impressive early in his college career. The positives for Duren are his elite size/length/frame which help make him an elite rebounder, shot blocker, interior defender and dunker. He’s got the build of a 10-year vet and a very clearly defined skill-set. What doesn’t get mentioned enough is his age. Duren is about 18 months younger than Chet Holmgren and is already dominating college basketball. He’s eligible for the 2022 NBA draft by only about 45 days, otherwise he would have to wait until 2023. This combination of youth, chiseled frame, big time production and upside is special. He seems to be lost in the shuffle a little bit, even loosing some attention to fellow Memphis freshman Emoni Bates. Could it be that we’re all sleeping on Duren and that he actually deserves to be in the conversation for no.1 overall? The season is young and we’ll get more clarity over the next few months.

Edited because I got "drop the bag" schools confused in LSU and Memphis.

I went on a board and the Memphis fans say he's got a special level of power and strength and he's inconsistent, which isn't much useful insight.
Where's the D?

I was hoping for bassey, but Boston would be been a good developmental project too. David Johnson gave me vibes that he’s not necessarily stoked to be here.

They went with defensive versatility over offensive potential. Maybe Boston becomes a microwave scorer off the bench?

Maybe DJ becomes a bigger version of Jalen Brunson, who is now starting for the Mavs?

@1:30 2 foot dunk from standstill!!! :o I'm not sure if Achiuwa can do that!?!?!?! :reporter:

Soft schedule but still shooting over 70% and 50% from 3. He's Gerald Wallace with more guard skills.

I believe Johnson is projected to be a better shooter and passer than Boston.

As for measurement, Boston didn't have the Combine record, but some website has him with 37.5 max vertical, which is lower than David Johnson at 39. Wingspan are the same, around 6'10 to 6'11. So on paper, David Johnson should be better, no? What exactly is Boston better than Johnson?

WOW

That was quite the squad LSU had with Tyrus, Big Baby Davis and Garrett Temple.

+

There are some strong wing options this year. Julian Strawther, Kendall Brown, Caleb Houstan, Wendell Moore. Baldwin might slip. Best defender of the group is probably Moore and Brown. Best shooter maybe Baldwin and Strawther. Most athletic is Brown. Best handle not sure... We can get a guy who would be a strong back-up for Trent Jr. and OG.
