Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
All this wish-casting over Wemby seems pointless. Even if masai were on board, it would be incredibly hard to trade off enough talent to compete with the Jazz and Spurs (and even Charlotte) of this world.
That said, this draft is loaded with good talent till at least the mid-late first round. Players like Dariq Whitehead, Cam Whitmore, Brandon Miller and Jarace Walker are being seriously slept on, and there's a chance one of them slips. Not to mention fun scorers like Nick Smith, Terquavion Smith, and Judah Mintz. In any case, I'll be seriously annoyed if we don't invest in offense this go round. Please no more defence first big wing types that can't yet shoot or get to the rim!! Our quota is full.

Tough call, I think they go all out to make the playoffs just to see what this roster is made of, to use the playoffs as a indicator on what to do long term. Masai has a lot of contract extensions coming up.
We did that exact thing last szn minus the mid szn fall to 7-9th. We should know by now what this roster is made of, and frankly it’s not good enough but we all know that. We’re waiting on some internal development and an opportunity to consolidate talent imo.

I know Shaedon has had an up and down preseason but courtsidefilms put together a highlight package of some of the offensive and defensive plays he has made so far.
I love watching his game man.
He's gonna be a superstar.

We should've traded OG for him when we had a chance.

I’ve followed Miranda for about a year now. Very interesting prospect. Fantastic shot for his size. Not sure if he’ll be able to handle the physicality though

Especially some poor kid whose parent walks by and hears 'Dick is on fire' or 'Dick rises up for the shot'. As a player Gradey is a really good shooter, with good height and defense. He would be a good pick for us as a SG. A really tall lineup of
Banton - PG
Gradey - SG
OG - SF
Barnes - PF
Pascal - C

GT Jr will most likely go so a cheap second round, tall SG (maybe Drew Peterson). The SGs I would really prefer - like Black, Gradey - will be gone. Maybe Cissoko is an option.

If we part with Gary or not, because that's not how you should or how Masai drafts, but a couple guys that may end up being undervalued that I'm interested to watch this year would be Marcus Sasser and Isaiah Mosley.

Agreed. Not sure Masai has any interest in filling positional prototypes. Big fan of all the Houston's prospects. Walker is probably out of our range, but I love Sasser, and think Arceneaux may have more potential than either. They can all shoot as well, which is my prerequisite for consideration this year (for example, i'm going to need to see a lot more from Cissoko and Matthew Clevelend shooting-wise, even though they'rethe type of players I gravitate towards).
Jalen Hood-Schifino and Tucker Devries are two other names to look out for - both are solid two-way players that would fit in nicely. Will also be looking to see how Gradey Dick and Judah Mintz's defence holds up, cause there's a lot to like about their respective offenses.

I'll take Chris Livingston over any of those names.

I was highlighting the SGs. Masai will draft BPA unless a bunch of players are equal and then he will go for need - similar to Koloko this year.
Sasser and Mosley are both good. Sasser seems like a Lowry kind of tough. This year's draft is definitely deep.

I think we'll be in that 17-23 range again, in which case I'm currently on Kaluma, Brandon Miller, Kris Murray, Sasser, Bailey, Livingston.

Haven't seen more than a couple highlight videos of his, but definitely intrigued by Livingston. Especially if the shooting is real.

Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
Ok, so there's no catchy rhyming tank slogan for Wembanyama... so I've taken to incorporating his name in the tanking team-names instead::
Wembanutah
Wembantonio
Wembandiana
Wemblahoma
Wemboronto kinda sucks, so I guess that rules us out!!!

Been a while, nice to see the familiar names in this thread. I really like Anthony Black for the Raptors this year. I know he is being mocked a bit higher right now, but I could see him dropping in a loaded Arkansas team that never seems to be able to figure it out on offense.
