Oh but outrage would far surpass anything we've seen yet.

What is wrong with this team man? They've now been thoroughly outplayed in 4 of the 5 games, and would be going golfing after tonight if not for some extremely bad goaltending from Vasilevski in the first 4 games. Tonight he was like the old Vassy, standing on his head, and look at the outcome. All series long this Leafs team just coast for 50 minutes, lets Tampa dominate their zone, build up leads, and then they decide to turn it on in the last 5-10 minutes of the game out of sheer desperation. That is NOT a sustainable strategy to winning. They've yet to put in a single 60 minute game apart from game 2. Something is just not right up there, in their heads.

For this game I think the Leafs played pretty well in the 1st period. Got outplayed in the 2nd and then got outplayed for most of the 3rd before they started getting going at the end. Leafs could've played much better, but they also didn't convert on a number of great scoring chances while the Lightning capitalized on a few that they got and won. The Marner breakaway could've been a difference maker if they had tied the score earlier in the game instead of waiting until the end to try and tie it.

Also I know its not just his fault, but Holl needs to sit for the rest of the series no matter what. Its a team game, but being on the ice for 72% of all goals scored on the Leafs in this series so far is too nuts to ignore. Put in Liljegren to replace him along with Bunting and hope for better results.

They literally blew a 3-1 series lead two years ago, as the top seed. Leafs fans continued to pack Scotiabank the following year.

I would be surprised if they actually won this series.

Started the game off with great energy I thought. Got the early goal and then to concede almost immediately was deflating. Only more deflating was starting off the 2nd with the same great energy and creating great goalscoring opportunities, to then have Samsonov allow such a stinker against the run of play. That killed them. By the time they woke up it was too late. Tampa controlled the game from the 2nd on and shut down any semblance of offence we had. I said we needed to win game 5 otherwise it would get dicey. If we dont win on Saturday I'm calling another game 7 loss. They still have that fragility.

This is a pretty insane stat LOL. You’d figure they would at least get 1 fluke win out of those.

It's funny that so many people were saying that if the leafs lost game 5, this is going 7 games.

If not for Tampa's major choke job in the 3rd period in game 3-4, Leafs would have been golfing right now.

Vassy made one tough save and the Leafs panicked into trying to make higher degree of difficulty plays instead of just throwing more long point shots at him. Total choke.

The Holl/Gio pair had been horrendous this series both on the ice for 3 goals against. Gio at least contributes offensively Holl just hasn't done much of anything this series. Lilly should've been in after game 1 but now it's so late idk if Keefe will thrown him in cold and didn't sound like Holl would get the hook either based on post game. Keefe staking his job on Holl is so insane. Also not playing Bunting was dumb as hell. Laff has been horrendous all series got a xGF% of like 18 or something. And surprise was also on the ice for the winning goal. Samsonov also has to stop that 2nd goal. Just a pretty bad night overall and I'd bet my house on this going 7.

Keefe needs to pull Holl or play 7 D so we can just use him on the PK. Bunting for ZAR or Laff idc which but one of them. And pray samsonov doesn't give up any weak goals lol.

I haven't watched any of the games because I am not a Leafs fan but is it possible they have one game they actually outplay Tampa in the next two. If so would that be a big win or do you think it's in their head already to lose?

I wonder what team in any best of 7 sport has the record for the longest losing streak in elimination games. I cant think of any NBA teams off the top of my head. If leafs lose this series it will push it to 13 games

I'm talking in terms of shaking things up. If they blow this I don't see O'Keefe surviving this. Maybe a big trade or two.

No surprise with game 5 we all knew they wouldn’t close it. Game 6 is where the pressure really starts. Lose that one it’s over, it’s likely already in their heads they cannot win a game 7.

Always had a problem with Leafs defense as a group. Poor transition. Unless you're blind, Giordano/Holl are horrible. But being capped out every year limits your options. That's why Dubas failure in the draft (while giving picks away) is the real root of problems. You can get quality dmen in the 2nd-4th rounds and he has failed to do so.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
