Simons is far from trash...Hes just inconsistent sometimes but hes had a stretch where Lillard was injured where he had 30+ 40+ point games. When Lillard came back he regressed but he is someone who would be amazing grab if Siakam goes out the door.

He's alright, but his contract isn't very attractive.

Siakam is set to make 44+ mill a year....OG due for a big contract as well....44+ Mill for a 2nd option is even worse...If we had a 1st option already sure id be willing to pay that....But yeah id much rather Simons contract atm at his age than what Siakam is about to get...+ you get a good rookie under small salary for 4 years.

I don't necessarily disagree, thus why I proposed my trade.

Win maybe 2-4 more games lol.

Jalen's upside is clearing that in terms of importance. On top of Green being on a rookie scale deal while OG is in line to get 35M + per year very soon.

Jalen's upside to me is a guy who shoots 20 FGA a game at a mediocre % and plays no defense. He'll score 30-40-50 pts a game with frequency on volume to impress the casuals and shoe companies and also win nothing important in his career.

The only elite wings I can see possibly moving are OG and Bridges. Maybe, Jaylen Brown if Boston gets black-pilled about their core.

Only if they walk away from Grant, Reddish, Thybulle. Which ...why would they want to do that? They will operate above the cap unless Grant is insistent on new scenery.

OG value is not that high to net you a former 2nd overall pick and a 4th ....would be nice tho

"On Lowe pod: Raptors received three-1st packages for OG Anunoby — including offers from Memphis & Indiana — but that Toronto was looking for a good player in addition to the pick haul."

Apparently Memphis ponied up Brooks in a package but Raps refused. No doubt Raps kicking the tires at the deadline to set up the Summer. OG is the logical trade choice. He is not expiring, he is young and most know he was robbed not making first defensive team. He can be more easily replaced than Paskal. Since we are interviewing so many developmental type coaches getting picks is a must esp w no pick next year.

They said this about Anthony Edwards, they said this about Devin Booker, they said this about Zach Lavine. I'm not going to label a player a loser for the rest of his career when he couldnt even legally drink until a couple of months ago. Put OG on that team in Green's place and they're still a bottom 4 seed.

Replace Green with Siakam and they're still a bottom 6 team.

None of those players has ever demonstrated the type of total disinterest in defending that Green does.

Watching this Cetlics and Heat game, and Butler going off, makes me realize the last player I ever want to have to move is OG.

Tatum doing the same crossover and losing it lol
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

replace GTJ with Simons, and move Barnes to PF would balance the roster.

OG is a must keep if we get Simons tbh lol

Take this as I mean it... "too many Jimmy Butlers" in this league to not have a guy like OG to stop/slow them.

Ya...who else would it be?

Julius Randle? - there is no way Randle is worth #3.

KAT? - possible...but he would make the Blazers already bad defence...much much much worse. But maybe the plan is to pair Ant Edwards with Scoot Henderson or Brandon Miller?

Jaylen Brown? - I can't imagine a contending team trading their 2nd best player for a draft pick.

Lauri Markkanen? - had a great breakout season but worthy of a #3 pick?

Mikal Bridges? - great defender, pretty good shooter ---rebounding and passing is lacking---I think it's too soon to consider him elite. He needs to do more than take all the shots on a bad Brooklyn team before considering him elite.

Pascal? - 2 time NBA all-star; 2 time all-NBA; Most Improved Player; NBA champion and bonafide 2nd option on a championship team

If Utah gets the third pick for Markannen that’s some next level ****. Ainge is a god at that point. Markannen is great but looking at it from where Ainge started with that roster that’s some great asset management.

OG will end up with more impact. Jalen Green looks like another one of those modern era iverson wannabe chuckers. We'll see if he turns into Curry or joins the current long list of these guys who can't take their teams anywhere.

And since you mention it...ya...Utah is a risk to trade for that #3 pick. Keep in mind that Utah has like 100 first round picks and the #9 pick...so they can sweeten the deal with more picks and maybe even the #9 pick.

S&T Grant to us for OG+whatever salary is needed and then do a second deal: Siakam and 13 for Simons, Sharpe and 3 (salaries work for the Siakam deal). Maybe reroute 13 for a starting SG they need?

So essentially becomes OG, Siakam, 13 for Simons, Sharpe, Grant, 3?

Lillard, Thybulle/Reddish/13 trade, OG, Siakam, Nurkic

FVV/Simons/Barnes/Grant/Poeltl with Achiuwa, Sharpe, Miller/Scoot, Boucher off the bench.

It feels unrealistic and would clearly depend on Grant accepting the trade here which is a long shot. But I think both teams get better fits. Lillard gets the #2 and wing defenders he has needed, while the Raps get shooting and youth.

I'd be annoyed my new favorite team plays in the far northwest and doesn't get on TV in Canada that much.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.
