I can't imagine OG was being offered if they settled for Jrue and a pick. That's nuts.

Ayton is the get here, and the Suns were always meh on him after that playoffs.

I need an apology from Shams for that deleted tweet blunder.

Someone check on JRoy - he defended his team well and will always be an honorary Raptors poster.

Sure, but that's the Suns making that trade and Mil didn't really give them much to facilitate it - Just Grayson.

It's really Jrue vs. OG which to me is a no brainer leading me to believe OG wasn't offered.

Fortunately Shams didn’t mention any Raptors players. Might’ve been awks on Monday

Raptors were pretty close....Shams even had them saved in the tweet that he accidently put out first.

It's not like Dame to Raptors was a pipe dream.....Bucks just ended up sneaking in which was expected since the trade packages for Dame weren't anything too crazy.

Any chances anyone thinks we try and snag Jrue? I don’t know what his cost possibly would be but we have enough salary filler to theoretically do it

time to deal Siakam to ATL!

can’t go into season with roster as is. ATL needs Siakam to be competitive, surely Masai can get a deal done here….right?

Jrue is 33 and not a star player he doesn't move the needle at all and now that Milwaukee has the East on lock
for the next few years it's pointless to trade assets for Jrue.

Raps really need to fully embrace rebuilding at this point

Actually, Rue is not as bad as that, he plays way better D than Lillard for one. I'd be looking at a deal for him.

Jrue would take the Raptors from a Play-in team to a first round exit this team needs legit star talent.

Sure I would take him on a good/valuable trade but I'm sure he will cost a pretty penny and there will be a lot
of demand for him. Gutting assets for a 33 year old who doesn't move the needle makes no sense in our position.
You could argue it didn't make sense doing it for Lillard either.

"We love our guys"

"Of course we are in it to win, otherwise what are we doing here guys?"

"Progress is not linear. I would just ask our fans to be patient"

"Deals that were available this summer will be available during the season"

For what purpose? Go for another 7-10th seed? Just end the misery and hit the reset button, FO needs to face the music.

And then there's also this, which makes this already short sighted wish, even more short sighted
https://www.si.com/nba/bucks/news/jrue-holiday-says-hes-keen-on-retiring-after-his-current-deal-expires

Jrue Holiday says he's keen on retiring after his current deal expires

“It’s funny cause my wife and I had this conversation; I think it was two days ago. She was like, ‘Are you serious after this contract? Are you serious about retiring?’ I’m like, 'Yes, I feel very strongly about it,'”

This is why Giannis made his comments about wanting to feel everyone is committed. It was about Jrue most likely. But media just wanted to talk about how Giannis wanted out.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Couple follow up deals that might make sense. Celtics can come aggressively for Jrue with some future picks and Brogdan + fillers.

I would take Brogdan in a heartbeet especially since there is some beef with the Celtics front office. Flynn + Boucher + Thad should be enough salary to get Brogdan on the last 2 years of his deal. Maybe a couple second rounders.

If Jrue is on the table i would do the same plus add in Dowtin and a future first to get Jrue routed to us. More salary but we get some more vet big guard play.

The Heat (and their fans) were so arrogant that the Blazers had to eat what they were feeding them, this is so great!
As much as it sucks the a conference competitor got him, I am just so delighted that neither the Heat nor Dame got their way.

Well this one turned out exactly like the Durant saga but with less pages. Maybe we're all learning something lol.

Nah, see you next year for the Embiid saga . . .

No more false Giannis hope for us anymore though. :(

So what IS Masai and Bobby actually going to do to balance out this roster and set a direction for the franchise?

We have learned that sitting on your hands the past few seasons just keeps you stuck in the middle.

I am so tired of seasons where all we are doing is "evaluating." :banghead:
