His legacy is cemented in Toronto forever. There will always be love every time he comes to Toronto.

Amazing players tribune.

I was 200% on board with trading him and reset around Scottie Barnes. I am not going to change my stance.

But it’s always sad and bittersweet when someone who truly care about the Raptors like Siakam does leave the team.

I know it’s only one article but my perception of Pascal is higher after reading the article. For some reason I feel this article is not fake and based on genuine sentiments.

I love the fact when his agent ask him where he see himself he instinct is like “euh… Toronto”.

I love his comment about trying to find people with his name on the back of their jersey .

It’s sad he knows there will be less and less Siakam jersey .

I wish Siakam all the best in Indiana. .

Well Masai apologized for the way he treated Pascal in his presser so Pascal was probably disrespected.

You would think Masai would have learned from his handling of Demar but apparently not.

Stop worshipping these men we were all isolated. People were laid off, lost jobs over mandates and dealt with turmoil over the pandemic. None of them made millions and didnt have to worry about provisions or job security Pascal is the last guy i'd worry about.

I mean the demar situation to me was different. It was a deal for a superstar and we had a small contention window and we went for it. Pascals situations was like he basically wasn’t on the team any more starting from the offseason and yet they still expected him to suit up and play his hardest for them while changing his role completely. Not only that the whole time they kept talking about building around Barnes, while they kept ignoring him and disrespecting him. It was weird to me how they wouldn’t mention him at all considering he was just an all star the year prior and still their best player. Coincidentally he’s probably putting up the most efficient offensive season of his career despite all this. I guess it’s not as bad as Blake griffin finding out he was traded from twitter though.

It was easy for him to stay if he wanted that more than anything. He only needed to accept our generous offer. He loved money more than he loved anything he said he loves so much about Toronto. That's not terribly surprising. I'm disappointed we offered him 3 years @ the max. That would have been a mistake that wasted more time. I'm super happy that a team who wants to pay him got him. It looks like there was just one of those, and that the trade offers were more in line with what his value actually is. I'm not sad to see him go. It was a continuing mistake to try and make him a 1A player for us. I understand it if he wants to be grateful. He should want to. We gave him a heck of an opportunity which he took advantage of. Thanks to Pascal for his commitment to getting better. It wasn't enough. That's ok. Some in Toronto wanted to believe the dream was still alive. At the end of he day we opted for the reasonable course of action. Let that be a message to all other players who play for us. The money you get paid covers all you think you are entitled to. Very often there isn't enough to go around. Part of the equation is having to trade assets for cheaper assets when everyone is looking to get paid. Nobody gets to stay because they love it here or because we love them. Nobody did him dirty.

so the problem was ujiri not extending him since siakam said he wasn't offered any extension. ujiri really messed up.

Not only that but they really tried to smear the man's name on his way out. Luckily Siakam didn't bite and took the high ground at every turn.
