Finding all these guys in one draft cycle is actually pretty crazy.
-Walter was the hooper/scorer we needed
-Battle was the knockdown 3pt shooter with size we needed more of
-Shead is the POA defender who can get into the paint we desperately needed
-Mogbo is a Swiss army knife every team could use

Battle came out of no where tho for real

And one draft cycle which was suppose to be 2000 NBA draft bad.

A few months before the draft, I started thinking that it wasn't a weak draft. It honestly felt like.one.of the deepest drafts that I could remember. Qualiy players well into the 2nd round.

It just didn't have superstar talent in the top ten.

Very good draft for non-lottery teams.

Battle has played so well and his shooting has been so consistent that he could theoretically be worth a 2025 1st to a 3pt starved team like the Magic who will be trying to make some noise in the playoffs. The Magic own 2 mid/late 1sts in this draft.

that said, I’m a fan and hope the Raps keep him in the cheap for a few years.

It's gonna be a dogfight for playing time next year....which is a good thing.

IQ, RJ, BI, SB, Yak
Shead, Walter, Gradey, Ochai, Battle, our 1st
Mogbo, Rhoden, Port pick-all should be in 905

Ideally we add 2 guys with size...1 with our pick, one thru trade. Man getting Flagg would help. We know we will have injuries so those top 11 should play lots but still have to earn minutes.

Can't wait for next year.

The mask must be annoying to shoot with but have to love the volume of 3's he's getting up. He doesn't need much space to get his shot off and has a very quick release.

Draft Flagg, trade Gradey for Lively, draft Condon...dream results.

IQ, RJ, BI, SB, Yak
Shead, Ochai, Battle, Flagg, Lively
Walter...someone will likely always be hurt
Mogbo, Rhoden, Condon in 905

Run 2 "lines" :)

Probably not but as soon as Masai ***s up you will def hear about it. Some of our fan base are extremely spoiled. No one is perfect but we got one if not the best FO in the league all things considered like we're the only Canadian team and playing against the odds of being a great team. Iykyk.

Might not be the single best haul in franchise history for us. Poeltl, Siakam, FVV was a masterclass by Masai

Denver got Gary Harris, Nurkic, and Jokic in 2014

Warriors killed it in 2012 with Barnes, Ezeli, and Draymond Green

In recent drafts NOP killed it in 2021 drafting Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, and Jose Alvarado

Cavs in 1986 is probably the GOAT
Daughtery (5x allstar)
Ron Harper (averaged 20/5/5 his first 8 seasons)
Mark Price (4x allstar)
John Newman (12k points)

We established a ton of bench depth with our picks in this draft. Shead, Walter, Battle, Mogbo and eventually Chomche will be amazing for our depth next year.

I hope we can add Fears, Richardson, or another high potential core piece from the draft. The second rounder will likely be a big man like Kaulkbrenner, Wolf, Condon, or one of the Ivisics. I don't expect them all to be good but at least half of them would be great to see here long term on our bench.

The 2 timeline approach is ideal for our team. We have a good group of starters and the next generation is loading up. I expect everyone we draft last year to have a good role and output next year including Chomche.

Poeltl / Chomche / Wolf
Barnes / Mogbo
Ingram / Battle
Barrett / Dick / Agbaji / Walter
Quickley / Shead / Fears

A little light in terms of front court depth but a trade or two would fix that up. I expect Dick and Walter to overtake Barrett as soon as next year.

Deepest you can remember?

Gonna need a few more years before we can make that claim me thinks

Chomche isn't even a good G-Leaguer yet and suffered an injury. "Expecting" anything but another year in the G-League is expecting to much.

He'll be better than Robinson and played situationally. Mogbo is probably the back up C next year. I guess they get another 2nd round big forward too

Robinson is. 22/10 on 62TS% guy in the g league. I don’t think you grasp how far away Chomche is. He likely never makes the league.

The numbers don't matter. No one is asking either to score at this level. It's more about not being targeted and fulfilling role duties. On defense Chomche shouldnt stick out like a sore thumb while his length will deter drives. He should get 5-10 minutes a game on average next season. The perpetual GLeague development isn't going to work

Neither Chomche or Mogbo should be counted on for NBA minutes....they need lots of work. So get them in the 905 getting that work while others play. And by others, I mean better players.

We 100% need another LEGIT backup C. One that can step.into a starting role if Yak gets hurt. That is neither Mogbo, Chomche or whoever we draft. These 3 should be our 3rd stringers.
