I mean, we can only go off of what we have... and then amend that opinion as we learn more, no?

I generally think summer league is a waste of time. It seems to serve four purposes.

1. A chance for rooks to get their feet underneath them so that they don’t come into training camp and much everyone else up.

2. Maybe, just maybe, provide a few reps for a player to work on developing a specific skill such as three ball. But how much benefit does a handful of games provide?

3. Evaluate an undrafted free agent, but my guess is that most of that is done behind the scenes in training and not in the circus-like games of summer league.

4. Provide an excuse for NBA and basketball people in general to gather in Vegas (and other places, but mostly Vegas) to talk shop.

I really hope we see VJ Edgecombe and Ace Bailey show out in this SL game. The so called "experts" trashed both of these guys during the predraft process. I feel like Bailey is gonna have one of those games where he puts up shots in a hurry.

Edgecombe in the open court has major wow factor. He is going to dunk on quite a few heads. Seeing the Westbrook type elevation today against Utah.

Chucky’s defence seems legit but the second he hits a shooting slump, this board will use his first name against him…..and it won’t be pretty.

I'm hoping we start to see something from Chomche. If he flames out, it will be far too easy for people to refer to him as Ulrich Chumpchange.

VJ was generally well-liked no? Ace had a ton of ppl believing he would bust or end up as a worse than touted prospect.
