He needs to be cutting more or space to the corners then. Him from 35ft is an awful shot, and his defender just gets to block off PnRs on the perimeter by heavily playing off him

It doesnt matter. When he is open, he needs to hit the 3. Otherwise, the defense will shut down the lane and let him shoot the 3.
