Anyone who says that we lost the ability to develop players needs to watch the improvements Scottie and Dalano have made since summer league. They are so much more confident and are better now as players.

the guy's reaction, on the Nets bench, after that pull up 3 is even more spectacular

He was Scottie's teammate in highschool.

makes sense. Day'Ron Sharpe was also the 29th pick of the draft.

Screw these Kawhi comparisons. Let Scottie be Scottie.

my initial hunch is that Siakam creates that gravity i.e. lures second defender. when he is about to make his move or is the in the paint - where as FVV doesn't have that gravity when he drives. or the quality of pass. it is weird that the % is such a divide, from initial guessing.

but its good that Scottie is becoming a reliable 3 point shooter. liking the switchability. Siakam has suddenly lost his 3 point shooting though. has not shot well 2 years straight now. he will likely be the guy wide open when either OG or Barnes has the ball in the post/ making moves.

It is a combination of those things. Siakam does frequently attract the extra man and he does seem to be a bit better of a passer off of drives. Sample size is another factor though. Scottie has attempted 13 threes off of Siakam passes and has made 7 (3 in the home game against Memphis and 2 against Boston the game prior). Three were in transition where Scottie was wide open and three more were in a half-court setting where Scottie's defender left him to double Siakam -- and the other was also a wide open shot after a nice passing play from FVV to a cutting Siakam then to Scottie above the break. Scottie has attempted twice as many threes off of passes from FVV and a good chunk of those attempts came in the first 15 games when Scottie was shooting 15% and attempting like one three per game.

By next year, players will be compared to Scottie.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

He is already an allstar level player if given the usage. His consistency has low key been better than anyone on the team. Dude has like 1 bad scoring night where he had 2 points. Other than that, he shows up every night.

Read on Twitter

forget the scoring, rebounding, on ball and off ball defense, strength, post up game, athleticism, footwork, dribbling, midrange, timely rotations, improved shooting and motor or whatever else he's good at, this to me is his best and effective skill.

He said multiple times growing up Magic was his favorite player and he tried to emulate his game after his. Regardless how you look at it Barnes is going to be a special player.
