I very much doubt Masai trades for Suggs after his reportedly poor draft workout for the team and having passed him over for Barnes.

If Orlando is willing to give up Suggs, I wonder if we could turn this into a 3-way deal and fetch a younger player that Masai likes more.

BTW, for Masai critics, remember that we could have Suggs instead of Barnes right now. Don't forget, Suggs was a near universal consensus top 4 pick.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

We haven't built around Pascal for 4 years. We won the championship with Kawhi, him and Green left. We ran it back with guys like Gasol, Ibaka, Kyle, Norm, OG, Fred and Pascal. Then we lost Ibaka and Gasol, traded Norm for GTJ at the deadline then traded Kyle for Precious in the offseason. You can make a case we never rebuilt around Pascal. We also aren't talking about whether or not we should build around Pascal. The point is we shouldn't trade Pascal for a poo poo platter because Nic Claxton is a center. lol. It's an atrocious deal. If you're talking about Claxton + loads of picks then that's a bit different but I don't think the Nets have the picks to do it.

Well, if we haven't been building around Pascal for the past 4 years, who have we been building around? Fred? OG? We have absolutely been building around Pascal, you can argue we've been doing it poorly though, I won't dispute that.

I think you really underrate Nic Claxton. His numbers this season are pretty insane, he's leading the league in blocks per game and field goal percentage, he's like a 7 years younger Rudy Gobert who is paid $8M/year which is incredibly cheap for that level of production. Also, the Nets have a number of first round picks they could include, they just got one in the Dallas deal and they have two more from the Ben Simmons trade.

Raps fans got to stop being so skeptical about every damn trade. If you can get a Suggs its a great deal. For those thinking Magic know something we don't know and are saying who would give up young talent that early. We traded Camby early for Oakley. We traded the 5th pick for Antonio Davis. These types of moves happen. No need to overthink.

If you like Dyson Daniels, Suggs is a very similar player.

I mean Suggs isnt good but its better than nothing if that is the best return for FVV. I imagine it would be Suggs + pick otherwise someone else would beat it

They havent built around anyone, thats the point. They have been treading water since the ship.
Out: Lowry, Kawaii, Gasol, Ibaka, Green, Powell.
In: GTJ....Precious?

They are in deep no mans land.

pascal isn't perfect but let's be real here. what he's done has been impressive considering his supporting cast here. A lot of superstars have stars as running mates. Pascal has had Fred...

We've seen how good he looks when put next to a kawhi and pascal's an even better player now.

Id probably want the Chicago pick with Suggs and T Ross. That’s a win

If we did a trade with ORL, personally could care less if Suggs is a part of it or not, it's one of ORL or CHI's (obv the more likely) pick that I'm interested in (period).

I am not talking about draft picks, thats not "building around Pascal". They draft players when they have picks.

Durant is obviously pissed at both Irving and the Nets.

Requesting a trade was stupid but the Nets trading for Simmons was also a huge mistake, role player making a superstar salary. They definitely should have kept Harden over Irving in hindsight.
