already better than any of our fake stars

That's what happens when you get to play off of LBJ n AD

Those % aren't gonna be the same when he's a 1st option 90mill coaching staffs are spending resources to scout n counter your game.

Neither of them touched that kind of otherworldly efficiency playing alongside Kawhi and 3 all stars. Your logic is flawed.

Not sure why playing great beside good players is seen as a negative.

Isn’t that what you want in a player ? Plus nobody is ever going to make him a first option lol, that’s ridiculous.

It's not, but the poster who quoted u talking about our fake stars are trying to imply that the context and scenarios are = when their completely not for a multitude of reasons.

No he may never be a "1st' option, but on another team without two top 10 players, coaching staffs will gameplan for.

I just like to call out the troll post

why did you bring up one game? he is right. That Pascal 2019 run is overrated offensively. Pascal size/versatility was his biggest strength that year. Pascal put up sub average TS during that playoffs run. 19ppg on 54% TS.

Reeves is underrated cause he is a Laker, he is not a 1st /2nd option but he is very good connector on offense and can be your 3rd guy. He gets to the line and is better scorer than FVV in the PNR for example cause of size. He is just an efficient offensive player especially if his passing gets better. This is while not being a negative on defense.

btw Reeves is self creating way more than Pascal did in 2019 and 2020 in the playoffs, while being efficient. It's not even just Lebron gravity because teams ain't respecting Bron scoring much this playoffs. AD lob threat helps.

Reeves is better than Poole and Maxey. Yeah that’s right.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

And the next game he shot 27% with 12 points in 41 minutes. You are trying to create your own delusional narrative. You are like a police officer who plants drugs inside people's cars when it comes to finding evidence.

Oh hey, let's not forget the ECS and ECF in 2019 where Pascal shot 44/27/76 and 40/25/66 respectively.

Oh and wait, what's Pascal's career playoff 3 point percentage again?

25.8%

Austin Reaves?

44.2% on closer to double the volume in his first playoff.

What’s annoying is Lakers will get Kyrie this summer. Rich keep getting richer. He’ll want to join Lakers and Mavs will be forced to do a S+T for D Lo and other role players.

Kyrie + Lebron + AD isnt enough to win a championship against a healthy Nuggets team in a stacked west. You have to consider age/injuries/off-court drama. That roster would be dangerous like 4 seasons ago, not now.

Don't be ridiculous and I have bene high on Denver since they went up 2-0 vs Suns. That is absolutely enough if they can keep Reeves. Denver is good but they are not that good.

This series has been close despite Bron playing like he is now. Lakers issue is their most consistent perimeter creator has been Reeves. adding Kyrie to bron/Reeves on the perimeter changes things.

I don't think Suns/Lakers/GSW/Clippers are far away from Denver if healthy and some addition. Denver still has very clear weakness.

I don't like posts that lump Fred and Pascal together as "fake stars" or selfish gunners or whatever. Pascal is a really high level #2 option who has done great things for the Raptors. Reeves is nowhere near his class.

If you want to separate Fred from Pascal and compare him to Reeves, salaries included, it is a valid discussion

Lebron may easily drop off even more next season, a year older with more wear and tear. AD may be hurt at any time. And can the Lakers retain Reeves and add Kyrie both?

Also maybe Denver will add an underrated piece that makes them even better.

Pascal is good but he is not a #2. Not in todays Nba. I think he can be a 2b type of player. Like if he and current Mikal are on on the same team with a top 8 player. That could work.

Pascal does not have the scoring explosion of a Murray/Kyrie or defensive impact to be a number 2 on a just okay built team. AD is a number 2 and he is a much better player than Pascal. Even going down to someone like PG, he is better than Pascal as a number 2.

That 2019 team was so deep that people just defaulted to Pascal being #2 even though he was barely creating and Lowry put up similar numbers on better efficiency. Impact stats even had Lowry as the better player.

Siakam is a much better player then what he was in 2018-2019 though.

He's definitely a #2 now. I agree that he was very overrated as a #2 for that finals run though lol. He was probably the worst #2 out of the contenders that year.

he is better now but he is still not a number 2 on an "okay' built team is what I mean. He just is never going to be an efficient playoff scorer and he doesn't offer really elite defense. It's just tough to win that way in today league.

Pascal is not a great half court scorer that doesn't change if he is playing with a #1. PG for example is a much better offensive player even if the raw ppg might be similar, because of his gravity on the court especially behind the arc. This while being a better playoff defender than pascal cause of more half court games.

Like Pascal can obviously be a 2nd option on Boston finals team. But that is because Boston is a great overall team and very few teams are like that. Bam is a better second option than Pascal in the playoffs imo, not the scorer but a much better defender and usually top 5 in the playoffs last couple years. and his teams typically win in large part cause of his versatile defense.

Hm, I don't know about that one. I think Siakam is 100% a better 2nd option than Bam.

I don't think he's the better player though if that makes sense ?
