^^ I agree, I'd take Curry, Lawson, Holiday, Jennings, Collison. In that order.

Also I still think Pj3 at 8-9 still makes sense. But depends who's on the board.

You risk two factors if you wait for 2013, Curry, Lawson and Holiday might stay with their team and they're RFA which means we'll have to over-overpay, we're not talking about just 7-8 mill (Dragic's likely range) but we're talking about a potential 10+ mill for anyone of those three. And do not want Jennings, he's not the type of point guard you want running your team, Teague is ...Teague, and Collison struggles on another team setting so its a risk getting him if he ends up struggling for us as well.

hahaha that would be funny, and I agree with the way Barnes is dropping we are most likely going to land him. Wasn't Barnes supposed to be a top 3 pick had he declared last year? Would be cool if we landed Barnes, which would mean we got the 3rd and 5th pick of the 2011 draft.... kinda

Wow, crazy that the Oilers won again. If anything, I'd say this proves the NHL is NOT rigged. Bettman is not exactly known for coddling Canadian teams. Why would he want Edmonton to get first three years straight? Doesn't make sense.

Thats perfectly fine with me, I'm more than happy with this result lol. Barnes' the perfect fit if we're going after Nash or Dragic this offseason. Our team will be balanced with floor general/slasher/shooter/versatile big/rim protector.

lol yeah I guess indirectly...

But Barnes' whole personality/persona is just built for BC; like Colangelo wished him into reality lol. I know how stupid and hoaky it sounds to say but I really do get a gut feeling that's who we're getting (had the same feeling about DeMar the whole time too) as much as I want Lamb or Beal instead. The good thing though is Barnes' stock went from overrated to imo underrated. If we fall to 7th-8th I will actually be unbelievably happy if we come out of the draft with him.

The Raptors rise in the standings and Barnes' fall in the draft rankings pretty much paralleled one another. I just don't want a team like Chicago of last season where one guy creates for the other four, and if he doesn't their offense stalls. Also, we don't have a guy like Derrick Rose so it makes it even worse.

The 3rd pick last year and the 2nd pick this year (according to Chad Ford).

How good is this draft even going to be? There were talks before it was going to be stacked, but it almost seems average at this point. Now apparently Q.Miller is staying for another year too...

Miller really doesn't affect it that much. I love his game, but he was projected late first round anyway. The top 10 in this draft has a lot of talent.

This is why those haters kept dissing him and saying how he's not a top 4 guy, that's fine with me cos he'll slip to us hahaha, keep them coming, let the hate continues, he'll eventually be ours! We're projecting 5th now so I hope we secure that. And I just can't wait for June 28th, the moment Raptors draft Barnes I just can't wait to see the reaction from the haters. I'll be having so much fun seeing their comments while me sarcastically in overjoy tone in the draft day thread! :D

We don't need Derrick Rose. We have Jose Calderone.

Latest Draftexpress update has us taking Sullinger

A Val/Sulley front court would be very exciting. Sully reminds me of a young Zach Randolph

I dont see any reason for the kings to draft beal.
I bet they get Sully before us.
also dont see any reason for the cavs to draft another pf.
For me there isnt a player in this draft that will save the raptors. Its Barnes or die trying. He isnt great.... but fills a serious need, and gives derozan one last chance.

Uhhhh with Valanciunas, Bargnani, Davis, Amir etc were not taking Sullinger. There is no
way the Raps would pass on Barnes or Lamb if their still on the board. Still so many
people out there that don't realize nbadraft.net is more accurate then draftexpress.
DE is better for in depth analysis but nbadraft.net has owned them on the mocks the
last 3-5 years.

I don't think Casey would like Sully's defense.

He's better than Ed Davis and Amir but it would be much wiser to go with Barnes imo.

What is with this odd love affair with Barnes? He's so mediocre at everything and was totally exposed when Marshall got hurt, yet you guys seem to have erased that from your memory. Harrison Barnes is the epitome of mediocrity.
