With IQ on the team, not interested in Podz. Moody would be useful bench guy (a 3&D SG/SF), Kuminga is a little risky. Wonder if they could flip him to another team.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread
Siakam on the Warriors would be amazing for them and put them back in title contention. Just not sure what the trade is. Wiggins is literally a "toxic" asset at this point. His contract is long and he has been awful. I would rather do CP3 expiring as the salary filler even if it means a buyout.
The question is if Podz, Moody + FRP are enough for Siakam? Probably the best offer they will get.
Not sure GSW would trade Kuminga, but if you can get him I would do the trade.

We get 3 youth + 2 picks because a) we need an extra carrot for taking on Wiggins contract, and b) we are giving an extra win now asset in Boucher, which other teams would give us something for.
I’d rather pass on Wiggins and let them keep the picks.
Give me CP3 and whomever else to make salary work in addition to those 3 young guys.

Man I don't want Wiggins, he's under contract for 3 more years at 28~30 mill. 2026/27 is a player Option, and I'm sure he opts in. That's too much. Rather have CP3000

Better than taking back pieces that don’t fit or salary that makes you have to trade picks on future years to get off it
Strongly disagree.
In no world is walking away with nothing better than something.
I’ll say first that I don’t believe for a second that out of 4-5 suitors (especially DET who likely only be willing to part with current players) that we can’t get at least one package that has a higher upside prospect…
But in an absolute worst case having several additional picks plus other rotation players that you could also likely flip for more later ones is better than him just walking away especially when we’ve never been FA destination. It’s why ppl think NYK and Utah can get involved in bigger deals down the line especially when there are future cap alterations that are apparently going to lead to teams needing to trade players away to avoid the different aprons.
Not to mention the very players we’ve traded or may still traded were ironically drafted in the 20s (OG - 20th, Pascal - 27th and heck IQ was 26th) lol so it’s crazy to say that it’s better to walk away with nothing when all those picks may net you the level of players back again.
You’re talking as if you know the offers. You don’t know the offers, none of us do.
If the offers are crap, then it’s best to walk away and use the cap space this summer to facilitate trades or sign a FA or get creative like Indiana did with Turner.
Fwiw, Huerter-Barnes-Mitchell is crap, imo.
Just as you’re making the assumption that we can just sign FAs when that’s never been our strong suit and of course it’s crap hence why it was turned down lol…
But deductive reasoning would suggest that we’ll be able to net at least one good young prospect whether it’s the reports of not only the Warriors’ interest in Pascal but Shams openly reporting that EVERYONE (that includes Kuminga, Moody and Podz) but Steph is available or DET’s serious interest when clearly they’ll have to offer one or more of their young prospects since they obviously won’t be parting with picks that we will be able to walk away with some sort of package that includes some sort of intriguing prospect.
It doesn’t make any sense that Pascal would be the hottest target in the league right now, have over 5+ suitors and we wouldn’t be able to find a reasonable offer, that’s just common sense. You’re complaining about an offer that was already rejected lol

This proposal seems like the most logical connecting of the dots
Something around pascal and bench help for kuminga podz/moody wiggins ++
Kuminga is exactly the ridiculously high upside/almost ready for primetime young centrepiece any rebuilding team would dream about
But a guy like him, much like future picks dont fit around a young core of rj, quickley and barnes
But schroder/jakob and pascal sure do.
Just nibble on the fringes and get back a culture that can turn the 31st pick, dick, mcdaniels etc into the next norm or pascal.

We still need a good back up PG to develop to replace Dennis once his contract is up/gets traded.

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread
here are my wild theory were things could be at..
Woj pod discussed Pascal agent and Masai/Bobby around last at clippers game..
Siakam/Walker/Smith all sat out yesterday game..
perhaps there's a framework of a trade with IND involving Walker as centerpiece if they can get Siakam abit more comittal on the IND side..

Those picks could be the real price here. 2026 and 2028 unprotected when Steph is probably washed, could be really good.

Siakam walking for nothing and opening cap space is better than taking a bad offer. There are many options with cap space. A bad deal significantly limits your options because it puts dead weight on your books and bad players or poorly fitting pieces on your roster.
Could you take a bad contract if you get a blue chip prospect, absolutely, but then that really isn’t a bad offer.
So we are back to my original point about Siakam walking for “nothing” which you disagree with:

Masai needs to do everything and anything to get Lauri but not give up a lot on our ends.
So whatever we get back from trading Pascal, send to Utah with maybe GTJ + 1 pick.

Raps want to get a headline young player for siakam as per blake rather than getting a bunch of average assets / picks
masai will re up him if he doesnt get what he wants
seems to align with how he operates

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread
Moody and Kuminga need to get paid the same time as Barnes. Add in Barrett and IQ to the mix, you really can't take Wiggins back in a Pascal trade. It will have to be CP3.

This is the only way I trade Pascal needs to be equal or greater value in return - Otherwise extend - We aren't going to magically get a talent like his in the next 4-5 years despite the faith here in ping pong balls.

Maybe this is why Gradey has been recalled to be in Utah.hopefully he kills it in warmups. lol
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

We're not getting FRPs with Podz and Moody unless they are heavily protected and convert to 2nds.

But it’s senseless to even worry about “taking back pieces that don’t fit”, again we already turned that down so why stress what’s not happening?! lol
Of course I can’t say which exact players but it’s only logical with the information that’s available (a line of suitors and two of which will quite clearly be willing to offer young players) that the scenario you're suggesting is INCREDIBLY unlikely that it’s fairly pointless to stress about.

Warriors have no leverage and they’re not offering blue chip prospects. One or two FRPs will be necessary
