I agree it was not the best look but being in competitive sports sometimes your emotions get carried away and he may of not realized until afterwards or felt too embarrassed in the moment to address it in front of everyone on live TV especially after lashing out.

It was nice that he apologized after privately and offered to take them out.

Let's not forget our beloved DeRozan had many moments of lashing out and sulking on the bench. It just shows they care about the game and want to win badly. That's what we need sometimes.

Here is DeRozan intentionally throwing a ball at a REF. Ingram just had a unlucky bounce. Let's calm down with this "ever liking him".

The Ingram thing is way worse to me on a personal level. Punch a ref in the face, IDGAF.

Throw a temper tantrum and leave other people to clean up your mess in front of you? Big “I don’t return my shopping cart” energy.

If he cares so much about winning, he can try playing defense.

Demar had his problems too. It's been forever and a day since he was actually on the team, so some may have forgotten. His work ethic off court was great, but we had all the "body language this" and "sulking attitude" that conversations about him while he was here.

I don't see this as a big deal.

The water bottle happened to break & happened to hit someone inadvertently. If these 2 things don't happen, these conversations aren't happening.

I actually feel bad for BI. He was seeing red at the time, & had a judgement error in throwing the water bottle. He probably didn't know how to handle it once he realized what had happened. & was still in full on fight or flight mode. I am sure he regretted it once he calmed down & is probably super embarrassed.

People love to get their pitchforks out, but this is really (in the grand scheme of world events)...........nothing.

A player threw a water bottle. Scottie got soaked. Waterbottle dude got soaked (not hurt), Garrett Temple helped clean it up. Ochai sat there looking really awkward & uncomfortable. BI sat there stuck in his feelings.

Maybe BI learns from this & makes a conscious efforr to throw a towel rather than a water bottle next time........or maybe Darko buys everyone a squeezy stress toy.

They need to make a "bad lip reading" youtube video about this so we can all just laugh about it & move on.

It's not that he threw the bottle that people are most concerned (as bad as that was) but rather his reaction afterward, or lack thereof, sitting there without a care watching Raptors staff and fellow player cleaning up the mess he left. And correct me if I'm wrong but its now been 2 days that he's had to mull this over, so has he even said anything like expressing remorse? This isn't the leadership you want from one of your best player.

Are we still on about the bottle? I have zero problem with him throwing the bottle. He's competitive, he's pissed some scrub was taking it to his chest.

I'm glad he cares enough to have that reaction. Now I just need him to channel it on the court instead of letting it spill out in that way. It's nothing but a possibility for growth. We will see how he handles himself going forward. It's nothing to be worried about atm.

So many people talked about how BI was too laid-back and didn't play with enough fire. Now of course he shows some fire and people are picking it apart. Sure, he should do better in responding after throwing a bottle, but I'm much happier that he's showing a bit of a mean streak, it should help his game.
