Ainge has the most chips in the league. I think he's just waiting for that superstar (cousins) to become available before he starts utilizing his assets and building a real team

I think what Ainge is missing is a true young stud he could trade along with his picks to get that star. And by moving the star he would not have much on his team to go by. The pick from the Nets really needs to be a top 3 to make sense.

I think this is where Raps might have an edge. What deal sounds better:

JV +Bruno + Bebe + Wright + 7th pick + 3 mid-first rounders
Or
Zeller + Sullinger + Smart + Turner+ 4th pick + 3 mid-first rounders

We can offer a much better starting point for Kings to move forward with. Only way Celts can top this is if they get a top 3 pick or if they sent Bradley or Thomas which defeats the purpose and they still won't compete.

Raptors becomes instant contenders. Maybe throw MLE at Gasol and you have:

Cousins/Biyombo
Gasol/Patterson
Caroll/Ross
Derozan/Powell
Lowry/Cojo

If the kings trade cousins its going to be for players that can fit in karls uptempo system. JV is the worst player for that system lol

So Kosta Koufos (his starting center during that 57-win season with Denver&Masai) is an 'uptempo system' type of player., cool.

Indiana got a bunch chances to win this game lol. Tough break. Can still play for the tie.

I have a feeling the Raptors won't capitalize on the cousins situation AGAIN like they did when we had the chance to get Harden.

Rudy Gay looks like a fool looking back now, posing at the 3 point line like the game was out of reach.

What on earth happened in that Kings/Mavs game? I was following along with the box score and thought the Kings had it in the bag when they were up by 5 with less than a minute left AND possession of the ball. Then BAM...empty possession, three, shot clock violation (how does that happen at that point in the game?!), three at the buzzer to win. I need to see highlights ASAP.

That whole game was insane. The Mavs were up 8 going into the 4th and played terribly. Lose the lead. Still bounce back at the end(Dirk hitting some very clutch shots after struggling badly all game)... but Belinelli goes crazy and hits back to back three pointers and the game goes to OT.

1OT - the Kings lead by 4 and blow the lead with 1 minute left.

2OT - Dallas trailed by 7 in 2OT with 1:20 left. Deron drives for a layup and they're down 5 with 40 seconds left. Then this happens:

Clutch shots and Deron Williams hitting a crazy game winner.

And the other highlight of the game:

This McGee alley-oop : https://youtu.be/s9WmAjdrZXs?t=80 :o He doesn't look as athletic as before, but he still does incredible things.

I swear if McGee had a brain he'd be a top 5 center in the league, better than last years DeAndre Jordan.

Having had a closer look at him, it's incredibly frustrating to see how all over the place he is on defense. He gets out of position easily because he is always looking to set up to block shots and he often jumps up for blocks that he reallistically can't make which just ends up leaving his man open for the easy put back. So many times he could just use his body and length, instead of jumping out of position. It's even more noticeable when the Mavs have Pachulia starting and he is a master at just using his body and rear end to defend, box people out, it's just such a brutal difference in composure and smarts. If McGee developed a better feeling for the game and played more under control, he'd really be up there as one of the best centers in the league.

On offense, he has shown glimpses, with the lob passes, he has even hit some mid range shots, but it's just weird. He is 27 or 28 and the game still hasn't slow down for him. He is usually running way too fast, playing way too fast, doing things way too fast. Still... if he stays healthy, he is worth re-signing, hopefully not many teams will go after him and he can be signed for cheap. Having an athletic big that can facilitate easy offense with the thread of the lob pass is a big bonus, it's how the Mavs offense thrived in previous years and it's what has hurt them quite a bit this season. No Ellis to penetrate and Chandler to create better spacing with the threat of the lob.
