We are not in a position to be going after Durant. You're putting yourself in the "we gotta win it all in 2 years or bust" window.

There is 0 reason for a team coming off 2 tanking seasons in a row to be doing that. Hopefully thats just a smokescreen for the Bucks to not play around thinking its Giannis or bust for us lol.

Quickly / Ingram/ Durant / Barnes / Poeltl could do some damage.

in this East? That’s a contender

Depends on acquisition cost. In a siakam esq deal (Dick/Ochai/Jakob instead of 3 1sts) it makes a lot of sense.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris

Would need to be done in a 2 part trade. Would need to add picks to even it out but

Quickley/Shead
Ingram / Jakobe
Durant / Dick
Barnes / Mogbo
Richards / C

Probably add 3 picks, since Poeltl can’t be the centerpiece of a Durant trade.

Tbh I think #9 + one future 1st would get it done.

Acquisition cost should be used towards a player who can contribute to the team for multiple years unless the Raptors find a way to land both Giannis/Durant.

Durant alone shrinks our windows for no reason. We would have to spend more assets to find a Center good enough to play on an "all in" team with Durant too.

Durant still has a good 3-4 years left; can probably play until 40. Giannis is a huge reach; may not even be available. Durant is definitely on the market.

Will we be able to re-sign KD next summer?

Been wanting us to go after KD since the last trade deadline.

RJ + Dick + filler + picks

I don't know man... he couldn't even get the Suns with Booker to get in the play-in. His days of carrying a team are over and just matching his contract guts the team.

He's still good but I see him as an Ingram level player going forward. Let's see though, I trust Masai enough to make the right move and not a shortsighted Collengelo like move.

Disagree. By trading for Durant and not having to give up all the picks, young guys and Scottie...it's a 2 year window with Durant all while allowing the young guys to mature and perhaps another rise or another all-in trade later on.

Perfect kind of consolidation trade.

Jak+IQ matches Durant

Jak+RJ+Ochai matches Durant.

we’d need to add Jak (or IQ) to make the salaries work

I’d keep IQ and use 9th pick + filler to get a C via trade

The beauty of Durant to Toronto is that he doesn't have to carry the team. The problem with the Suns was that they just had too much redundancy with KD, Book and Beal all being on-ball scorers. There was no ball movement and it became a very iso-heavy offence. They also couldn't guard for ****.

We'd still have Scottie to distribute and defend. BI and KD are a pretty good scoring duo. And our bench is easily better than Phoenix. We are deeper than the Suns and still positioned for another big trade if we manage to get KD without giving up all our picks and young guys.

Whatever team gets KD is going to get him extended. All parties involved would want that, KD for security, PHX to get more assets in return and the team that gets him as well would want him locked up as well.

KD could play until 45 if he wanted to and at an ELITE level. I truly believe he can last longer than LeBron in terms of being elite but the injuries is obviously the concern

Trading for Durant would be the 2nd coming of Hakeem. You have to extend a 37 year old too.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….
