The Hornets have targeted Denver's J.R. Smith and Cleveland's Antawn Jamison and they are expected to pursue Troy Murphy if he receives an expected buyout from New Jersey.

if the Hornets targeted Andrea Bargnani, who would you want in return?

To get out of both salary's would open up tons of capspace to go after a legit C and shore up the bench. Ariza helps on the defense side of the ball and can be a backup 2/3 or start at the 3 along side DD. Our 3 picks can hopefully be parlayed into make a move for the BPA (Irving?).

NOH gain much needed scoring and depth at the 4/5. West/Okafor/Bargs is a good 3 man big rotation.

EDIT - I didn't take into consideration the luxary tax and NOH's impact by doing this....perhaps we don't get a pick and/or the deal doesn't work.

I didn't write that - took it from insider.

but pretty much:

one real pg with a bunch of combo guards

one real sf with a bunch of tweeners

lots of pf's.
considering the fact that I'm not sure if the one true SF (Barnes) is actually elite, it makes things pretty difficult for us.

Vesely won't be a late 1st rounder, maybe a late lotto pick

I would love to get Vesely as a late lotto. I haven't seen him play much. But thats good value imo.

really, an insider didn't even mention HB for one bit, that's crazy.

Jordan Hamilton and Kawhi Leonard have a legit shot at going top 10 at this rate.

Jordan Hamilton, while I have not been too impressed with him when I've watched him (that's probably because I always seem to tune in when he's having a bad game), he's regarded quite highly by scouts, particularly Jon Givony.

And I've become a huge Kawhi Leonard fan - if we deploy a run-and-gun offence in the future, he'd be the perfect 3/4. Unbelievable rebounder.

Hamilton is a very talented offensive player, but he has a tendency to get very passive at times. And he really doesn't give much of an effort on the defensive end, nor does he have great skills in that area. Not a big fan, but he looks like a lottery pick at this point.

I'm much more impressed by what Leonard brings, but he's really not anywhere near the Raptors range.

He just looks the part, doesn't he? He sometimes leaves you wanting more, but he's very skilled for his size. Yes, you wish he was tougher and more physical, but they just don't make a lot of 6-7 and 6-8 kids who can do the things he can do. If he's not in the lottery he's going to be close.

If there are some highlights of his game against them out there, they are definitely worth watching.

Hamilton is what he is, he's going to be a guy who hits 3s and is athletic enough to fit defensively. Like Barnes, it's a valuable thing to have a guy like that, but if we're picking top 5 we have to think upside and all-star here or if we're picking a 'role guy', at least make it a real center who are impossible to find

I have complete confidence that HB will be a very good player in the nba, just I'm unsure if he will be a great one.

Would love to have him on the raps somehow but not with our pick.

I think HB has a bit of a killer instinct. He's a good defender & rebounder and he can heat up and pile up the points.

I'd really like to see him declare. Then there's going to be a good Terrence Jones/ Harrison Barnes debate for months.

Totally agree with HB's killer instinct, scouts say he doesn't have any but you can tell in clutch moments he wants the ball in his hand. If he declares, I can't wait to see him and TJ compete in the raptors predraft workout!

Honeycutt? The guy has had just 4 games all year that he shot over 0.500. And only one since Dec. 29. Those numbers scare me a lot.
