That has no bearing on whether you're a good player or not. I think the biggest knock on Sully is, like Blair, like Big Baby, he's going to struggle to defend guys.
Really? Diaw is known for his versatility, even playing some point early on in his career in Atlanta. I don't see sullinger as a tweener. More as a tough undersized 4.

he's been practicing with the team at Kentucky. I posted a small clip of him and one of their other bigs working out with Calipari a little while ago. I think he's been in a good position where he can focus on preparing himself for the draft workouts, and still get to practice with the team.

Here is an indepth strength/weakness video of Harrison Barnes from DX:

Also, here is a NBA Draft Prospect Viewing Guide:

                        http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Har ... rnes-5705/
Also, here is a NBA Draft Prospect Viewing Guide:
Thursday
No. 9 Terrence Jones
No. 16 Brandon Knight, Kentucky vs. Princeton (2:45 PM, CBS)
Jones and Knight are John Calipari's latest one-and-done prospects. Jones is a bombastic scorer in the mold of early Paul Pierce. Knight is the embattled Kentucky guard who is far more Tyreke Evans than John Wall, only smaller than both. Bonus! Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel will likely discuss ineligible Kentucky frosh Enes Kanter, No. 8 on DX's board.
No. 25 Jeff Taylor, Vanderbilt vs. Richmond (4:10 PM, TBS)
The junior Commodore is one of the SEC's better scorers, but needs to show more perimeter polish to move up draft boards.
No. 13 Kawhi Leonard, San Diego State vs. North Colorado (4:40 PM, TNT)
We wrote about Leonard on Wednesday.
No. 27 Patric Young, Florida vs. UC Santa Barbara (6:50 PM, TBS)
Young is Billy Donovan's latest young big man plays under 20 minutes per game, but is a physical specimen in the mold of Al Horford. Keep an eye on him when he's in the game.
No. 17 Jimmer Fredette, BYU vs. Wofford (7:15 PM, CBS)
You know all about The Jimmer, BYU's extraordinary scorer. Is he J.J. Redick? Adam Morrison? Ray Allen? Watch and make up your own mind!
No. 7 Kemba Walker, Connecticut vs. Bucknell (7:20 PM, TNT)
We wrote about Walker on Monday.
Friday
No. 20 Jordan Hamilton
No. 23 Tristan Thompson, Texas vs. Oakland (12:15 PM, CBS)
Thompson has been one of the best freshmen in the nation, and is a long power forward who finishes great in the paint. Hamilton could have been a first-round pick last year; he's a high-octane, perimeter-oriented small forward. Two fun prospects.
No. 30 Mouphtaou Yarou, Villanova vs. George Mason (2:10 PM, TNT)
Yarou is a sophomore big man handling the middle for 'Nova, who hope to make a long run in the tournament.
No. 6 Derrick Williams, Arizona vs. Memphis (2:45 PM, CBS)
We wrote about Williams on Monday.
No. 1 Kyrie Irving
No. 23 Nolan Smith
No. 26 Mason Plumlee, Duke vs. Hampton (3:10 PM, truTV)
Duke has the nation's top prospect in Irving, and two more in DX's top 30 in senior point guard Smith and sophomore big man Plumlee. Irving might not play; if he does, you'll be forgiven if you refuse to take your eyes off of him.
No. 18 Chris Singelton, Florida State vs. Texas A&M (4:10 PM, TBS)
Singleton, a junior forward, is shaping up his offense a bit, but still figures to struggle to score at the NBA level. Is he the next Corey Brewer, or the next Gerald Wallace?
No. 3 Jared Sullinger, Ohio State vs. Texas-San Antonio (4:40 PM, TNT)
We wrote about Sullinger on Monday.
No. 19 Marcus Morris
No. 24 Markieff Morris, Kansas vs. Boston U. (6:50 PM, TBS)
The Morris twins factor heavily in Kansas' bid for a national championship; Markieff is the Robin Lopez to Marcus' Brook. Unfortunately, Markieff doesn't have an afro to help us keep them straight on the court.
No. 4 Harrison Barnes
No. 11 John Henson, North Carolina vs. Long Island (7:15 PM, CBS)
We wrote about the pro prospects of Barnes and Henson this week.
No. 28 Travis Leslie, Georgia vs. Washington (9:45 PM, CBS)
Leslie will face a tough challenge against the Huskies, who have a few potential pro players of their own. Leslie's a great athlete, and according to DraftExpress a first-round talent.

I'm very concerned about how his game will translate to the NBA. I would like us to pick up one of the SF's if Irving isn't available and for whatever reason i'm leaning towards Barnes. I have concerns with Perry Jones and as I'm sure that this has been brought up before in this thread, I see some similarities between him and Marvin Williams.
I see the opposite. I see the Marvin Williams in Barnes before PJ. Perry has all the tools to before great, he has amazing athleticism for his size. Some say he has some handles.

RealGM Mock Draft 1.0: Perry Jones for Raptors
http://basketball.realgm.com/article/21 ... Version_10
I'm not sure how I would feel about that pick.
Perry Jones scares the sh*t outta me that he could become Anthony Randolph 2.0. On the otherhand, as stated in the mock, he has the most upside of anyone in the draft in that he could be McGrady-esque. If he is able to play SF in the NBA, I certainly like that he should be able to bring some much needed rebounding to the team. I'm also so damn leery that he's not assertive enough.....
The other flip side is at least we would be high in the draft next year as well lol
Thoughts?

That's the BPA, I believe.
As long as he can play SF, then we don't have to trade down.

How many times do people have to question whether he can play SF in the NBA before you realize he probably wont be able to do it? Enough with the tweeners please.

i would totally take the risk on perry at the 4-8 spots if we miss out on irving barnes, he'll get the playing time on the raps to prove himself unlike other teams

You don't know that he can't do it. Just have to wait till workout's. Anyways I'd be fine drafting PJ. Its not like we're gonna contend next year anyways. It's just about watching players develop.

I could really see Bryan C giving Perry and Barnes a good look if they are around 3-5

Re: Official Raptors 2011 NBA Draft Thread, Part 3
Perry Jones scares me. I know that the ban was BS and the size/skill/physical package is very interesting, but if he wanted to rebound and play defence he'd have been doing those things already. That said, PJ3 might be the 4th-5th best option for us in this wretched draft. I'd take him over other positional question marks, aside from maybe Derrick Williams, for his upside/market value but that's about it.
Having Minnesota pick ahead of us, as long as it's not #1, will be a huge bonus if they keep it because Kahn is Kahn. He could easily take Kemba Walker, Brandon Knight or Jimmer Fredette at #3, maybe even Nolan Smith... you never know with him, so if we pick 5th we could get #4 on our board.
I like that RealGM has Tristan Thompson going to OKC. He could fill a need for them with his frontcourt scoring, so he might get a shot to play if they take him.

This. Although I think it is pretty much guaranteed that they take either Kanter or Valanciunas if they are picking with Irving off the board. Ideally they take Valanciunas who will simply embarrass himself (and Dagger) upon entering the NBA.

I think Kahn's the most steadfast BPA GM in the NBA so I wouldn't put it past him to draft whomever is considered the BPA at 4 (assuming they're drafting there) regardless of position. If Barnes or Jones are seen as top 4 locks I think he'll still draft one of them. He follows the BPA playbook and not positional need more than any other GM I can think of.
I have a feeling they're going to cash in some of their young players this draft though. I expect some trades from them on draft night so that could also complicate things.

He tried to go BPA in 2009 and failed, then he drafted for position last year and failed. He's a steadfast dolt.

I'll say this, if the Raptors waste another top 5 pick on one of these European players I'm looking for a new team.

lol, i'd be pissed. But i'd blame it on Maurizo G lol. Anyways I'm not as down on PJ as some. I would still prefer Barnes. But both seem like good prospects. Also looks like Tjones is falling on people's draft boards and on mocks.
