DE is better for in depth analysis but nbadraft.net has owned them on the mocks the
last 3-5 years.

no actually draftexpress final mocks beat nbadraft.net and most others,

Nope other way around...

Eg. Last year nbadraft.net had Derrick Williams going top 3 as early as February where
DE and Ford had him going later in their mocks until a few weeks before the draft. Same thing
with Biyombo nbadraft.net had him going lottery before everyone else wised up to him.
DE has better player comaparisons and analysis but nbadraft.net is the best for mocking
year in year out.

If we're #2 or #3 and T-Rob measures out, I'd personally buy him a lifetime supply of eyebrow pencil just to appease you.

If BC drafts a nonathletic 4; a player that will be bothered by the NBA length then he should be fired.

We are going for that lengthy 6'8 dude with a smooth stroke from UNC; he will have more space to pull up J in the NBA and can defend his position.

Have to wait after the lottery to start making these claims. Right now the rankings are purely based on where players should go based on talent level, not taking into account team needs etc...

If Raptors drafts Barnes this team offense will be nightmare. Who will create for themselves? We will see Calderon pounding the ball again and again. Do this team really needs another guy who can't dribble?

Is this actually a thread? Draft Express' mock doesn't even take into account team needs.

neither is very accurate.
I remember last year, everyone was torching me for the idea of the raptors being able to land brendan knight at 5 (raptors chat). because they took these mocks to seriousl;y.

Exactly. There would be Harrison Barnes hate threads every day on here if he played for us. He's really not that good.

I'm not advocating we draft Sully, But in his defense I think Jeff Withey is a very good college center.

Well I see why, Sullinger has done more in his college career and actually lead his name. Unlike the others. I just dont like Sullys game as much as others.

It's pretty dumb how a bad team like NC could ruin Barnes stock. He's a good fundamental player and I would take him for that, but it's also pretty intriguing how Lamb had two of the biggest ball hogs in the NCAA on his team. Not to mention that he is also considered passive yet he is one of the best wing scorers if not the best wing scorer in the league. What is really holding him back from being a Durant type of player? I bet if he improved his long ball (consider the jump he made year 1 to year 2 if we go with the trending line...) and he played in a system that would let him hog the ball a bit more he could break 25 points a game at the NCAA level. He should definitely be help up for consideration and his stock on nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com is really off, if not he's a major steal.

Durant has a center's height with shooting guard skills. That's what separates him from Lamb. And the killer-instinct and all that. I hope we give Lamb a close look, though.

If its between sully and barnes, I take barnes only if we draft/trade for a drive and kick point guard. Barnes has driving ability, but its not that great for a player drafted top 8. He has a great spot up shot and a shot off one dribble. His driving will come as he gets more comfortable. For now though, if we get a pointguard who can draw in defences, Barnes will get open looks and make him immediately more effective and boost his confidence.

Part 10 done 100 pages later over 1000 pages in total over 12000 posts on the subject and I still think Lillard will be atleast the fourth best player from this draft class.

That's a lot. Probably 5000 were blocked for me, though. There were a few 5-post pages in there  .

whats changed from last year?

Last year everyone wanted Barnes to declare. Now we want to pass on him? Hes the best fit and likely the BPA when we pick. Take Barnes and run far far away.

If you get a PG who can create.

PG
Derozan
Barnes
Bargnani
Val

is a very exciting future.

While Barnes isn't a dynamic shot-creator off the dribble one-on-one, he is capable of creating his own offense through the use of picks in triple-threat. It's been documented that a lot of Barnes' made baskets this year have been unassisted despite what people say about a 2 game sample without Kendall Marshall in the NCAA tournament.
