If he's going to take some time to develop, the best thing for him would be to stay another year or to be anywhere EXCEPT toronto - the media and idiots in this city would eat the kid alive.

Really?!

Because I find it hard to even catch 5 minutes of basketball recap on TSN and a Toronto sports writer that even has the inkling of a clue of what's going on with the Raptors.

They'd pick him apart because he's a hometown product, so the magnifying glass will be on him over EVERYTHING.

It'd be better for him if he's allowed a couple of years without having the spotlight on him and for him to learn things like a normal person (may never happen), and then enter the lions den.

Valid question.

I don't know if he has the physical tools. He lacks size, and might get slaughtered by NBA SFs. On top of that he's not an explosive athlete. His shot is generally excellent, but he's starting to look more and more like he's not going to be any kind of world beating superstar. This draft is looking more and more average, especially if Lavine and Exum are out, like I've seen rumoured.

Parker and Embiid are legit though. They both are All-Stars at least, in the NBA.

He absolutely has the physical tools, keep in mind he's just 18 and is still growing into his body, by no means is he a finished product physically - that's perhaps the only thing that we know for sure we don't really have to question. The biggest question appears to be whether or not he has the mental makeup to improve and be a leader - while we still have to keep in mind he's only 18, and some people progress at different rates.

Much of the design is to feed it in the post, even when ball swinging to the wings they are expected to dish in the paint, there is rarely PnR designed for wings which Wiggins can use, every time he touches the ball, the bigs in the post calling for it.

Parker yeah seems to be, Embiid it's still to early to say - the potential is definitely there though.

I really like Wiggins, but he may have a bit of Harrison Barnes in him, meaning he will have a more gradual development curve than his fans are comfortable with.

Already, I'm seeing national media starting to suggest Embiid will be drafted ahead of Wiggins, which means Wiggins may fall as low as #3. Also, a lot of positive buzz for Tyler Ennis. Maybe TSN should be showing Syracuse games. The fact Ennis isn't an elite athlete - but a tremendous facilitator and crafty defender - ought to mean if he comes out, he will go around where the Raptors pick. Ennis, not Wiggins, might be our first Toronto pick.

Always liked Ennis but I won't lie he won't feel like anywhere near enough for all these awful years the Raptors have been enduring. He's the kind of player I'd love to pick up with a second pick, not first.

I didn't mean average or bad or anything like that. But by the hype I was expecting Vince Carter if not almost LBJ. He's above average, and going to be a star, but not a generational type player. Still would be first overall most years, but with Parker and Embiid looking to be ahead of him this year.

I just have maybe a bit higher of a standard of what I define explosive. VC, Kobe, LBJ, Jordan....

Perry Ellis just missed a FT 2 feet left of the basket, he's definitely got a concussion from that forearm to the head.

I don't understand the infatuation with Barnes. He's really not that good.

Why not just watch him play buddy, he's got much improved handle that he can use to face up iso (e.g. against OKC) and has been using his post game to exploit matchup.

I've watched him play since high-school. I was extremely pro-Barnes when he was coming out of high-school, and was even a proponent of the 'tank for Barnes' movement after he struggled his freshman season.

The fact of the matter is, is that he just hasn't been that good. That's just the way it is. Is there a chance he becomes a good NBA player? Of course there is, but he certainly isn't there yet, and I definitely wouldn't trade Jonas for him.

and all the kansas players standing around the same way TJ's teammates did

Big three from Wiggins. 2/6 so far tonight, has "played his tail off" defensively says the PBP guy. I missed the first half.
