I had thought the same thing but apparently you can. There is nothing in the CBA preventing teams to do it. Only trade exceptions cant be combined with players in trades. If anyone can find anywhere in the CBA that prevents teams from sign and trading players along with another player, I would love to see it, I have not been able to find it.

#MeToo. I don't know why I thought there was a restriction. Maybe they changed it in the last CBA.

But there is a restriction on trading OG for a non-forward. Every contending team needs a big wing who can defend and hit 3s. Raps can only trade him for another big wing who can defend and hit 3s. That's not in the CBA, it's just reality.

I’m so stressed, we have no idea what Masai is up to. We don’t even know what the direction is.

Is Giannis 2021 off the table? Does he re sign right now?

Then what? Are we trying to retain everyone? Letting people walk? Or looking for a big trade.

I literally have no clue if this is going to be an all in team, a run it back team, or a rebuild at this point if Ibaka and FVV walk

I feel like Freddy is staying and Westbrick is going to the Knicks.
Sign and trade to the Bulls seems like the other possible outcome.
Philly sign and trade for Josh Richardson could work for both teams.
Man, these next couple days are going to be like a Ontario windstorm.

Amazing defender who can guard 1-3 and make plays for others. He's definitely worth a look as a backup PG if we can't get Fred back.

Meh, why be stressed about something you have no control over!

Let Masai and Bobby be stressed, it's their job.

Shaq Harrison is my guy. Love his size, handle and defense. Could be a very underrated signing depending on other moves the team has in mind.

My best offer for harden would be:

Lowry to Philly
Harden to Toronto
Horford, #21, Powell, Davis, #29, 2022 1st, 2024 1st.

If that gets it done then great, if not then we move along. If they come up short next year, you try and lure Giannis to play with harden and offer up some signs and trade combo of Fred, OG, serge or pascal to Milwaukee.

Assuming Houston can’t move Westbrook, going into next season with Westbrook/Powell/Covington/tucker/horford with some assets built up is not a bad way to start over and remain competitive for their new gm & coach.

I think the only way masai would include OG or Pascal in the deal is if Covington came back as well. Otherwise making the deal is pointless because it makes out path to winning next season much more difficult and Harden doesn’t want to go to a non contender. If Philly doesn’t give up Simmons or Embiid then I’m not sure they get a better offer out of the East. I don’t see Brooklyn’s best as all that impressive.

PS. We got Kawhi without giving up either of them so who knows.

LMAO.

If Giannis ends up signing the supermax...it might give Masi and Bobby confidence to make changes now instead of playing the guessing game up until next year.

Start acquiring pieces now to contend in the east while Lowry is still here
