Mobley's floor is Tyson Chandler/Marcus Camby. So at worst he's a guy who may never be an All Star, but is a perennial DPOY candidate and makes several All Defensive teams.

Bigs always have a hidden basement no matter how nice the drawing room is and Mobley is no exception.

Josh Giddy will be a steal. This draft is too deep.

Every prospect has weaknesses. Suggs - weak handle/shooting, Green - defense/strength, Cade - explosiveness.

Mobley shot 58% last year. His shooting from 3 will only improve.

But to say Mobley is not good because he will get pushed around as a 5 when he hasnt grown in his body just like Bosh and Davis (who have similar body types) is complete false.

And that’s exactly what I’m saying that all the prospects have weaknesses and expecting those weaknesses to improve against better competition is so naive. He’s not a good shooter and doesn’t set physical screens and on defense he will get destroyed against good guards and wings who will get into his body. You can also see that he goes for too many blocks and is repeatedly out of position.

Mobley is just not 5 at the moment because he can’t hold his position so comparing him to guys like AD and bosh doesn’t mean much to me because of those guys are the exception.

However if you think he will be as good as bosh or AD he would be the consensus #1.

Let's agree that you dont know what you're talking about. Everything you said about him especially defensively is false.

He's actually extremely good at not fouling and doesn't go for blocks much at all and holds his opponents to a very low fg%.

Well we just landed the Perth Wildcats coach so how far can Ben Simmons and Josh Giddey be from joining the Raps? :o

There has been historically a bias for bigs with the top pick in the NBA. It has always been this way. The best prospect in each of the next two draft at this very moment is Holmgren and Wembanyama. Mobley can't even get top 2 buzz.

Give me Suggs and call it a day. Utter nonsense trying to justify Mobley falling all the way to 4th and thinking we hit the jackpot. 1 team passing on him is good fortune, two is serendipity, three means there's likely a reason for it.

Do you see who those 3 teams are?
2 teams passed on Doncic too. These teams are picking in the top 3 for a reason.

I feel like in hockey, the top 3 are usually consensus and they don't go against Central Scouting.

If that’s the “quicker” version of his release he’ll need to improve that significantly

He needs a major overhaul of his mechanics.

No D either.

Masai is on hand to watch this kid. I hope he knew that...

This would mark the second scouting trip that the Raptors front office has made to see Giddey in action.

Tyson Chandler was an awesome defender. He was the final piece that pushed Dirk to that championship, like Marc Gasol for us.

I would feel good about getting Tyson Chandler at #4.

Was he working out against Whiteside? While I do think that Hassan is a bum, he's not untalented and matching up against him would give us a good idea of how Sengun will perform against the length and athleticism of the NBA.

If we get Suggs is he your official starter opening night even after signing Gary Trent?

PG: Vanvleet/ Malachi
SG: Suggs/ Gary Trent/ Hood
SF: OG/Bembry/Watson
PF:Pascal/Yuta
C:Khem/Boucher

OR

PG: Vanvleet/ Malachi
SG: Gary Trent/ Suggs/ Hood
SF: OG/Bembry/Watson
PF:Pascal/Yuta
C:Khem/Boucher

I think Gary doesn't want to sign if he isn't guarenteed a starting spot but letting Suggs come off the bench seems weird to. I don't know.

I can't wait to see the kid during a real playoff run. He loves the moment. But it's tougher to get phenom's in basketball. In the MLB you have teams with multiple generational talents (e.g. Angels with Trout and Ohtani) and they can still suck. In basketball if you get 2 superstars you're almost guaranteed a top-3 seed.
