Maybe he's just really **** good already LOL
Masai tanks for one year and drafts the best player.
That's how it's done apparently

Scottie Barnes is a likable Ben Simmons with a jump shot.
Ben Simmsons is Scottie Barnes but without any heart.
Or a jump shot

It also helps that for whatever reason the refs called the game like it was the playoffs... I was surprised we didn't get called for fouls on a lot of those plays.... but it went both ways... we've always been a better team when we've been allowed to play physical...
Scottie had 1 foul this game... he had 4 or 5 in the opener... he didn't play any different defensively.... this is why I hate nba reffing... ref us like this all season our defense is gonna destroy teams...

25/13 in his 2nd real nba game as a 20-year-old in boston...
there's no limit here. we got a special one. i don't know why we keep calling him the next this or that with a jumpshot. he's the one people will be making comparisons towards. nah, fk that. he's scottie barnes. the one and only.
praise masai for going against the grain and making the pick. that's why he gets paid the big bucks.

Basketball IQ is through the roof. May be premature but I really think he may have some of that Lebron type processing of the game that allows him to seamlessly just do everything.

Yeah time to drop the Draymond comp. Scottie's offensive potential is substantially higher

Thank god that intentional late season tank so they could move up the lottery. Only 2 games but I cant imagine the raps without scottie. Things wouldve been much much more bleak thats for sure.

LMFAO
On the one hand the Celtics were tired from the Double OT so they didn't have their legs.
On the other hand Scottie took full advantage of them.
I don't think anyone, even most of Scottie's biggest fans ever thought he would score 25 points on 17 shots and only take 2 threes and 2 free throws.
No idea what his efficiency is going to be, but it's safe to assume he can score 10+ points a night.
I'll stick by what I said, Draymond is Scottie's floor (career wise). His ceiling is basically Kawhi with legit point guard skills.

Scottie can score 0 points and still have the biggest impact on the game. Offensively he'll just take what the defence gives him. He gets it. Keep it simple stupid.
Anybody who thinks this game was simply Boston being tired or sucking just doesn't watch carefully (or at all frankly). We showed a glimpse of that the ultimate vision of this team was I talked about this summer. We might be the fastest, longest and most active group of defenders in the league and we're going to drive some teams crazy. Especially once Siakam is back.
To me, Barnes is absolutely nothing like Draymond. Yeah he's a great defender with size who can guard any position but that's where it ends for me.
I see far more KG than Draymond. KG had that ability to juts do everything but he had that smooth mobility and ability to get to anywhere needed on the court to make a play. Nurse said he love how Scotty was constantly in front of the rim and that was definitely something KG did bunch too. Not comparing them obviously just in terms of style, skillset and versatility. Definitely see some AK47 (personal favourite) with the defensive aggressiveness and Lamar Odom with his floor general mindset as well, but his lateral movement is seriously impressive.
Point is his overall package is incredibly unique but based on what I saw today, if I had to compare that prefoamcen to any player I'd have to choose The Big Ticket in the early 2000s.

that's a fair assessment, scottie isn't going to do this every night,
as not every team he faces will be tired....
but to still be able to take advantage of it, shows a lot of potential and flashes

KG more of a knockdown shooter freethrow extended, coupled with excellent footwork in the post.10giz wrote:Vampirate wrote:Raps in 4 wrote:I'm never watching college games or scouting videos again. I'm just going to accept whoever the **** Masai drafts.

I see more 90s Pippen in his game with the motor and activity of KG

Oh no an extra 10min of basketball 2 days before. They must be utterly exhausted.

I mentioned the KG comp a few times before.
And 20yr old KG wasn't a knockdown shooter or a refined post player tbh.

Watching Scottie’s highlights from the Celtics game, a name just come up in my mind; C-Webb.
