You gotta be kidding me!! What about green? that kid is amazing!

Green didn't do anything other then score. He might've passed the ball 4-5 times all game.

He's a bucket getter though. No doubt about that.

Well that is something we were lacking, a walking bucket during the time of need! He will become an elite scorer in the future!

It might be what we are lacking but that doesn't mean his game jumps ahead of Suggs and Barnes. They both had better overall games.

AbC? wrote:Good game for Suggs. A lot of his positive attributes translated tonight - rebounding, energy and hustle on defense. 3 point shot looked smooth and hit some midrange jumpers early on.

I was one of a handful of posters who wasn't sure about him BEFORE we passed on him. I still have the same concerns. Limited advantage creation, lack of creativity off the bounce, shotmaking ability. Didn't really show much in that sense but if his first step translates at the NBA level he won't need much to gain advantages of PnRs.

I still see him as a excellent connecting type player in the vein of Lowry/Holiday/Lonzo/Haliburton, not deviating from that.

The rest of the Magic team looks beyond awful, especially Cole Anthony. They'll be battling to be the worst team in the league pretty sure.

I agree with everything you said but hes got more bounce then those guys you listed. Even if its ceiling is Lowry, Holiday///those guys are probably both hall of famers. At 4 or 5 thats a no brainer.

Barnes gonna be the best in the league though.

Lmao. People looked and looked for Suggs to show some kind of weakness... Unfortunately we're still looking.

He was okay before OT. OT he stepped up though.

Wut. Suggs is a great playmaker. Would’ve had more assist if his team wasn’t trash

Great playmaker with 1 assist and 22 shots? Doesn't matter how **** your team is. If you're a great playmaker you won't end up with 1 assist as a lead guard.

He wasnt playing lead guard today ....Cole anthony ran PG all game long ....Which was brutal ...He was waving off suggs alot and Suggs was standing in the corner playing off ball....Magic need to have the ball in Suggs hand all game long if they want to develop him right....He is a good playmaker though just Magic coaches are playing him wrong

He had the ball in his hands way more than anyone on the court. Cole Anthony sucks but Cole Anthony didn't force Suggs to shoot 22 times

Maybe not Wagner. He looks so raw offensively!

I think Gary Harris starts instead of Ross, and Okeke instead of Wagner

This draft class so far seems as good as advertised. The top 5 legit all have Hall of Fame potential and there’s several other all star potential guys throughout the 1st round

Flynn is nice, looked heady in game 1. But Suggs is better right now, 6'4 vs 6'1, stronger, all-round winner.

Malachi is a solid backup PG, and that's no insult, but Suggs is an NBA starter right now. He and FVV would've been such a good backcourt.

I truly believe that Suggs could have become a dame/Trae level player here. And surrounded by Pascal/OG/FVV it would have been a GREAT squad.

Scottie can become Giannis with a jumper here.

We needed a superstar. This was the only way.

Giannis is only Giannis because he's 7 feet. A 6'8 "Giannis" is not Giannis.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Nah Sugg's doesn't have that generational court vision to become a Trae level player. I do think he can be a Dame level fringe superstar if he has an outlier improvement to his shooting and tightening his handles but odds on that is low

Lmao I’m sorry but Scottie won’t become Giannis.

I think he’ll be a good impact player like Iguodala, Dray, Kirilenko, etc.

But Suggs will be an elite winning guard in this league. Would’ve been perfect next to FVV and our elite forwards

Were you watching the game? .....Suggs didnt have the ball in his hand for nearly close to the amount Cole had it ....They gave the ball to Suggs late in the 4th most and overtime and he came up with big plays to get the W while Cole before that was going 1 on 3 throwing up air ball floaters...

If Suggs had the Ball in his hands all game long he would have had more assists ...But then again prolly not cause all the Magic SL team is ass

I don't know how you guys can stand Cole Anthony. I would seriously be pulling hair out of my head if i had to watch him and Suggs start every single game.

luckily we won't have to. Cole is a backup, at best. Suggs and Fultz is our backcourt of the future. Cole is a spark plug off the bench.

Cole kinda looks like he has an ego problem. The way he was looking at Suggs and reluctantly passing to him or waving him off. He seems kinda toxic.

He has a great attitude around the team but I caught that too. It's a 2nd year player being outplayed by rookie in game 1; and with the game on the line, who wants to give up the ball. we'll see what happens game 2.

Are all those guys giving him (Suggs) the offence though? He's a rookie.

Fred's not going to give an inch, never mind Flynn.

Kid is trash. Future bench player. Sooner the Magic move on from him and give Suggs point guard duty the better.

To be fair to the others Raptors Summer League Squad is a little more capable than what Suggs is playing with....But Cunningham might have no excuses cause he has bey and a few other decent players

I think Suggs and Cunningham still a question mark as to how good of a playmaker they are. Both have 2nd year guards that clearly hamper their playmaking in Anthony and Hayes respectively. Need to see more of them both as primary ballhandlers first.
