C'mon dude. Barnes looks like a pretty gifted player but he's nowhere in the neighborhood of Giannis.

As stated before, he can be a modern day Iggy/Draymond/AK47 type of high level glue guy. He's not likely to do well as a primary scorer.
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

To be fair to the others Raptors Summer League Squad is a little more capable than what Suggs is playing with....But Cunningham might have no excuses cause he has bey and a few other decent players

Well, he was playing with Hayes and Hayes was dominating the ball a bit more, so he kinda has a bit of an excuse.

Suggs was playing with 3 other 1st round picks while Barnes had just 1 in Flynn. On top of that, his Big man went 1-9 and couldn’t finish **** (Gillespie)

Why is suggs touted as some primary scorer in the league but when you check the numbers its never much better than scottie who isnt a scorer at all lmao

There are "measurables" and then there are ballers, guys who know how to play and win.

It actually does mean something. 2 guys were playing significant minutes in the NBA on a team with a better record than us. They play selfish but the Orlando squad has decent players for the Summer league

Having 1 assist isn’t acceptable for a guy who’s supposed to run an offense, whether he has weapons around him or not. He had less assists than all the other starters and 2 guys coming off the bench

Now obviously it’s summer league so it doesn’t really mean much but saying he has an ass team around him is just an excuse

We can win this thing!

I hope Yuta comes back a transformed player from his Olympic run, same hustle and defense but a way more assertive scorer.

Half this board seems to think there are only 2 ways this thing can go:

1. Scottie becomes a superstar and Suggs is a Jerryd Bayless reincarnated
2. Suggs becomes a superstar and Scottie busts harder than Kwame Brown

There is another universe where both Barnes and Suggs become very good players (same tier or one surpasses the other).

We're discussing the #4 and #5 picks in a stacked draft class - let's relax, Scottie played like a #4 pick that is raw but oozing with potential, Suggs played like a #5 pick that has a much higher floor. Only time will tell who ends up where, but let's be happy for both these guys.

This draft wouldn't be as special if we finished 8th like projected. Believe that.
