His defensive effort has impressed. Dick/Agbaji might be behind Walter in depth chart next season. Trade one.

Ja'Kobe was a 5 star recruit that didn't have the best freshman year in college so people stopped believing.

Well he looks like he could eventually be 1st team all defense. Also looks like a possible 50/40/90 guy. 8-)

The best of Norman Powell and Marcus Smart in 1 player?

So an All-NBA player?
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

He has that low dribble in traffic like RJ and is able to keep it alive.

So interested to see our offseason moves as we could do another unexpected consolidation since we actually have the depth to do it. Of course the cap is an issue. But we are just DEEP now.

IQ, RJ, BI, Barnes, Yak
Shead, JKW, Gradey, Battle, Ochai, our 1st

That's 11 guys...and really we need a backup C. So that "could" be 12 playable guy who need reps. The good thing is that we know we WILL have injuries so we at least have playable depth when that happens.

And JKW has shown he can be good on both ends of the court which we need and want. Shead and JKW already made this a good draft for the Raps if they continue on their way. Adding Battle on top of that is bonus. Mogbo and Chomche TBD, but could make it an epic draft.

It's not looking good for Gradey.

If others are shooting as good as him...and they bring defense....he in trouble. Hence my Gradey for Lively wishful thinking...lol. Fills the backup C spot, draft BPA. A good defense gets even better.

As a Mavs fan, Gradey isn't a bigger value to us than lively would be so that's a no go from the jump.
Gradey also takes completely different shots than JKW, especially different types of 3s. Gradey already has gravity that teams respect

Oh I agree Greadey won't get Lively...I am just trying to speak it into existence...lol. though 2 Mavs fan said he could see it due to Lively's injury concerns, and Gradey can learn from and hopefully eventually replace Klay.

Yeah Gradey has issues, but he does draw attention especially when in movement, that others don't.

I just am looking forward to what Masai does with this depth this offseason. Can see a sneaky trade happening.

I have been very impressed with Walter. Not only is he showing great scoring instincts, he also has solid defence and "clutch genes". He should definitely be starting next season, but I don't quite know how to create a line-up out of Quick, Walter, RJ, Scottie, BI, Poeltl... Somebody won't be here next season. Doesn't have to be one of them, but even off the bench you have Dick, Battle, Swider (has looked like he deserves another look next season).... Too many redundant players with obvious defensive weaknesses.

+ Ochai. I think both Walter and Ochai deserve 20+ mins next year but is that even possible?

Ja'Kobe, He's Jesus Shuttlesworth Jr.

His first name is named after 2 of the best SGs, and his last name is the first of another great SG.

He's a A Herky-Jerky version of Walter Ray Allen.

Tell me you don't see it, or can't envision it.

This is his Sonics Debut (27ish years of age)

if you are trying to win next season, defense will matter a lot more so walter, ochai, and shead should all play before dick and battle

Our defense seems to have been pretty decent with a nice mix of all of them, no?

Dick hasn't been in the mix for a while.

Don't ask if we want DIck or Walter.

We should want them both to pan out fully. Then we'll be lethal.

Exactly I don’t know why it has to be either or lol THIS IS NOT NBA2K there will be enough games of people sitting out where everyone will get min. Also Battle is not going to be demanding any mins he’ll be happy to wave a flag all season long from the bench.

Still, there won't be enough minutes with our upcoming 1st round pick.
Assume our expected depth
Poeltl / 1st
Barnes / Mogbo
Ingram / [Agbaji / Battle]
Barrett / [Walter / Dick]
Quickley / Shead

The minutes remaining are from injuries.

I don't follow the draft. But it would be nice if there was a big that could play the 4 and 5 off the bench for 25+ mpg next season. Then have BI soak up the few left over minutes at the 4.

Dick is the odd man out. Shead, Walter, and Agbaji are ahead of him.

Luckily we still have a few years. That starting lineup just doesn't sit well with me. I don't think they gel. 2 shooters and 1 thru 3 aren't known for there defence (to put it kindly).
