Raptors trade: Chris Bosh, Hedo Turkoglu

Why the Bulls would do it: Bosh, plus they shave off a little bit of salary to keep that second max salary slot open.

Why the Raptors would do it: Ditching Hedo, plus Deng is a significant upgrade at 3, and for management he costs less than his cap hold, because a good portion of Deng's salary is deferred. Gibson would be a solid 4 to pair with the new Davis. And some draft picks.

But why would the Bulls take Hedo?

In this case it'd be because his contract is smaller than Deng's, so that along with moving Taj is salary cap savings that may be enough to squeeze in that second max, assuming this is the first signing. Haven't actually run the numbers, though, and Hedo may be too much of a downgrade for the Bulls to really consider it unless LeBron's already in hand. If LeBron's not already in the bag, the Bulls likely would just take Deng and Hedo off the table.

Bosh needs to go to Orlando with Turk....

Orlando has more assets then Chicago, Miami, and New York

We need VC's Expiring contract, a combination of Nelson, Pietrus, and Gortat and
whatever draft picks they have

Well, Colangelo would look like a douche if he did that, and he won't do that.

You're right he wouldn't, but he really should team first, player second

the simplest deal.

To TOR: Collison + Posey + TOR 1st Returned + 9.5 million TE created
To MIA: Bosh
To NOH: Beasly (plays the 3 alongside Okafor and West)

NOH saves 2 million

MIA gets Bosh

TOR gets Collison in return.

as it's looking likely that the Bulls land Bosh, i hope that we insist on a Jose for Deng swap. the bulls get a little more cap room and the Raps get the better player.

then you use the TPE to get Collison. maybe Hedo and the TPE to the Hornets for Okafor/Peja/Collison.

Collison/Jack
DD/Sonny
Deng/Peja
Bargnani/Davis
Okafor/Alabi

looks like a playoff calibre team to me.

I created a thread for this:

Considering Chi and Mia wouldn't give you guys anything of value for Bosh in a S&T, would you rather have your FO don't take anything for Bosh and keep the money, take whatever they can get from CHI or Mia (Deng or Beaseley and late rd picks) or direct Bosh to go to PHX for a full max via a S&T, with you guys getting Amare in return?

If Bosh wants to be the man on a good team, it would happen here more than anywhere else. What do you guys think?

Your biggest question is; how much do you give Amare? He could take less than a full max, but get more than walking to an other team and still get a S&T done with you guys.

Sorry, I didn't see this thread. Please respond.

To the last post:

No. Amar'e doesn't want to be here anyway.

I disagree.

1. I think Toronto is better than what they ended up last year (I was on your bandwagon before the season began) and it is a nice city.

2. Amare wants to get paid. He is going to the money first, winning second.
