^^ that deal I like. I'm just not sold on Outlaw starting for us at all, if we could retain Johnson (or if we land Williams in the draft) it becomes much better imo. I don't mind taking Outlaw as a cost of business to get the cheaper (for now), younger Brook... I just don't want downgrade our starting SF position to do it.

We roll with a young starting lineup of Bayless/DeMar/JJ/Ed/Brook (+whoever we draft, who may or may not start) ... I like it.

i thought of this too assuming we draft a PG (Irving/Knight/Walker)

To TOR: Outlaw + LAL 2011 1st Round Pick + Cash (NJ)
To MIL: Calderon + Petro
To NJ: Maggette + Brockman

we save money, grab a late 1st make room for the PG

Bucks get a shooting PG off the bench (Hammond said he was looking for that) upgrade from Maggette to Calderon.

NJ doesnt add any money for when Howard becomes a FA and dont get worse on the court while saving 14 million.

Irving / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa
Johnson / Outlaw
Davis / Amir
Bargnani / C (Klezia trade) / Alabi

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

hmm... not sure about that one. We do save money, although Travis' deal runs longer so I'd want a better pick coming back. Do they still have that Houston pick?

They do but I doubt they deal it as I see it added to a Howard deal. Travis deal runs 2 years longer = 14 million (7 flat). We save 6.3 million in a Jose/Outlaw swap in 2 years = 7.7 million total. Add the fact they throw us 3 million essentially bringing it down to 4.7 getting a late 1st rounder for that I thought was a fair deal. They usually cost 3 million or so and while this draft is weak it's like getting JJ thrown into the deal because we paid a late 1st for him. So it's not huge you could probably flip the LAL 1st + our 2012 for a 2012 late 1st (20-30 range)

Bargnani ($9.2m/4yrs)
Kleiza ($4.6m/3yrs)
for
Maggette ($10.3m/2yrs)
Sanders ($1.9m/sophomore)

Savings and a young defensive big.

We don't need Sanders with Amir/Ed here. I don't think there's anything you can give us for Bargnani that's worth it for us, unless if someone we like with our own pick is still available when you pick (Biyombo? Valanciunas? Walker? Knight? Although in all likelihood all of those guys will be long gone).

the only two assets (well, besides Bogut, who you obviously wouldn't move for Bargnani), that we'd potentially have any interest in are Jennings and your pick. And even then, many would prefer the production that Bayless has given us over Brandon's inefficient play (although he is younger, so maybe we'd value the upside there, or would want to trade him somewhere else), and with the pick, we likely wouldn't be able to secure one of the prospects we want because of all the people that have pulled out of the draft (so we'd try to trade him to a team that's picking earlier, like maybe the Kings/Jazz/Pistons/Cavs(with the Clippers pick). If we could guarantee a guy like Biyombo (or perhaps Valanciunas/Walker/Knight), I'd probably do it. If we were trying to use Bargnani to dump Kleiza, we'd want something closer to expirings/capspace coming back (which is why the Kings are an appealing destination). Although in all honesty, the capspace won't do a whole lot for us on it's own since we aren't much of an FA destination.

Trade Calderon to Lakers for Shannon Brown and filler. Solves their PG issues with a guard who would be good in the triangle offense. Improvement over Blake at the very least.

Gives us an athletic wing player. Even though the lakers would be looking to go more athletic.

Or trade Calderon for Casspi. He wants to go anyway and they can use another guard.
Ska needs to make a comeback.
