Kanter = old school center
Davis = old school PF

Welcome addition after years of two soft perimeter bigs

"The thinking" means absolute nothing if it doesn't correspond to reality. "The thinking" behind drafting Andrea Bargnani was that he would be the next Dirk Nowitzki.

Agreed having an old school front court is the way to go. Extending the defense is for everyone else. All of that crap about shooting 3's with your bigs is played out. Let's play some basketball!!

This Biyomobo hype is absolutely ridiculous, dude had one game in the Nike hoop summit and people are all over him saying he's the next Ben Wallace. As early as last week he was projected to be a mid to late second rounder and now people are try to justify picking him with early lottery pick, which is just absurd to me. I get that he has amazing wingspan, he's athletic and shows signs of great defense but does anyone know how he's going to adapt to the NBA? Right now unless he proves that he is going to be an elite defender and elite rebounder and develops adequate offensive skills then he's just going to be a career role player, add in the fact that he might not be 18 (many scouts have said he looks too physically developed to be 18) makes picking him with the raps top 5 pick a gamble of epic proportions. We'll see how he does in pre-draft workouts and maybe he'll change my mind but till then I'm not hopping on the bandwagon.

Exactly, if there's one thing we've learned about a Bayless/Demar backcourt is that they are a high scoring duo, 2nd best in combined PPG after Monta/Steph Curry. I know its a small sample size, but then you throw in JJ who hopefully will improve this summer and you have your glue guy that can handle the ball too. Nice team for the future, and the best part is that if we blow next year, we get another lotto pick in what's looking like an incredibly deep 2012 draft (and hopefully Bargs can net us an additional 2012 pick as well)

How is that any different from Kanter? At least people have seen BIyombo play recently. Nobody has seen Kanter since last year other than his Kentucky teammates in practice, and most of his hype is based off that Hoop Summit game. Yet Kanter is somehow this can't-miss prospect who's legend grows the more he's gone.

Remember the times when we were absolutely thrilled with Bargnani's rare ability to shoot 3s and have high hopes on his developing inside game....ah *sigh*, how naive were we :oops:

So please old school everything on this team's lineup

C: Big man who can score in the paint and rebound
PF: Big man who can do the blue collar dirty work and help on the weak side defense
SF: Shooter or/ do it all
SG: Versatile scorer
PG: Speedy, great passer who can hold his own against other point guards defensively

Very good point, from what I've seen from him he looks good but there definitely hasn't been much to look at recently and its true that his hoop summit game definitely upped his value. We can only hope that Barnes declares so we at least have a chance of avoiding all this big man mess because out of the 3 (Val, Kanter, Biyombo) one is almost definitely going to be a bust, maybe 2.

Once I heard that he re-gu-la-ted Nazi Mohammed in a practice I was sold. I mean, Nazi is no all-star but he's a grizzled NBA vet.
