I hate defending Casey because I don't even like him as a coach, but what has he done wrong so far? If we're judging him on his X's and O's he's done a good job of instilling more ball movement into the offense. If it's his defense we've implemented a better defensive system that takes advantage of the strengths of our players.
A coach can't control his players' performance. He's not telling Lowry to make stupid drives to the rim, Biyombo to botch every pass made to him, Patterson and Ross to be missing 3's. A coach has no control over that.
It's more a big picture - what have you done lately assessment. Every coach has a shelf life and at some point, shuffling the assistant coaches around and keeping the head of the snake, has to change. A fresh new voice would help get the message across to Lowry and the rest of the guys on what is expected - no chucking, playing stupid.
