Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2020-21 V1.0
LAKERS LOL
In the 2019 post-Kawhi free agency, both the Clippers and Lakers hurriedly tossed the rest of the team together.
The Lakers won a championship. The Clippers did not.
Lakers went with Danny Green, KCP, McGee, Rondo, Bradley, and Howard together around Lebron and AD, seemingly building a team with questionable spacing, but with a strong defensive structure. It seemed like an example of genius team building on the fly, more than luck. But now the very same people have now concocted a team that seems to be en route to an epic catastrophe of a season.
So maybe where there seemed to be competence, there was in fact just distilled dumbfounding luck.

Re: Official NBA General Discussion 2020-21 V1.0
Was watching the Knicks/Magic game
Suggs is just bad. Dude magically looses his athleticism with the ball in his hands, lacks any east-west movement offensively, struggles to turn the corner, and just really lacks creativity.
He's very nice defensively though, I'll give him that.
He really does remind me of George Hill. Not a bad player, but someone I'd be disappointed selecting a high lottery pick on.

The OKC local TV Halftime Production seems stuck in 1985.
I have seen better produced halftime shows for highschool / minor league games shown on local public TV.

Franz Wagner looks great though. A modern 3+D 3/4 hybrid. Really nice off ball, great looking jumper, and just some pesky defense. He made some pretty impressive cuts off the ball, and if he ever develops his handles, Magic got a good one.
IMO I could see him reaching pre injury Gordon Hayward level. I'll be keeping an eye on him.

I'll say this though about Suggs. He looks much more explosive, and comfortable off the ball.
IMO his best position is at the #2 as the secondary ball handler.

Damn Jalen Greem up to 30 points. 8/10 3pm
Kevin Porter is so trash. Basically holds the ball for 16 seconds and passes it to green.
But damn he has bounce.

LMAO Magic beat the Knicks.
Wagner 10/7/2/2steals
Suggs 11/1/3/1 steal shot 3 of 9.\
That scrub Cole Anthony lit them up for 29/16/8

I think Lakers will end up really good in regular season as long as they stay healthy.

the lakers are simply trying to continue on borrowed time, good thing for them was LeBron was moving to LA anyway; otherwise, they haven't done anything to attract free agents; expect them to be a lottery team once he retires as Davis is simply unreliable as a franchise player, they need to find a finisher, = they have lacked since Kobe Bryant retirement..

But then comes playoffs and teams have more time to gameplan. I'm not sure about Westbrook and how that will go.

All our 8-12 range rivals stacking up wins. This can be critical by the end of the season.
