You said you don't like treadmill teams.

Usually teams that get the 8-14 pick are in fact treadmill teams. Didn't you and others say that teams that finish 7-11 in their conference are treadmill teams?

I really don't know why you are supporting teams that win 35+ games and get the 10th pick?

You contradict your own insane, twisted logic.

Team TWO baffles everyone once again.

Who told you that? Treadmills are like the Blazers and Demar era Raptors. Teams that know they're not going to win a chip but keep running it back every year just because.

Okay so what are you saying is that if the Raptors finish 9th in the East, we get in the lottery and land a pick that ranges from 10-14, Masai did a successful tanking job?

I would like to know.

This is getting really sad.

Since 1990 (the year YOU arbitrarily picked to fit you narrative). 19 champions have top 5 picks that they drafted. If I expand it top 8, it's 23 champions.

So over half, basically 2/3s of all champions in the last 30 years won with lotto picks THEY picked.

Again, it's THREE TEAMS since 1990.

You can put all the championships you want. In doesn't negate the fact that THREE TEAMS have been successful doing it over a 30 year span. Not very good odds. Do the math on THREE TEAMS over a 30 year span. Give me the probability, lol.

I like to talk about championships. Sorry. Since that's what we're actually trying to go for it only makes sense to talk about the champions of the last 30 years.

Does Danny realize only 11 different teams have won a title since 1990?

7 of those 11 teams had their own top 6 draft pick.

This is an asinine argument.

He creates his own rules, then when exposed he'll create a new rule within that rule. He likes to talk in circles.

I've made my point clear since the first time he brought up draft history.

Okay, good to know. So you would be ecstatic if we were an average team. So right know you should be extremely happy that we are 7-10.

TWO is really all over the place, it's hilarious.

I said since the 1990 draft LMAO not since 1990.

What statistical argument do you have for excluding 8 championship teams in the 1990s or is it completely arbitrary? If you include championships in the 1980's it further dampens your stat. Convenient.

Nah, I said if we're 9th and somehow land a the tenth pick I'll be ecstatic.

But you like to create false narratives so not surprised. Sorta like how you chose to ignore all off the 90s champions to make a point. lol

What?

I know it's since 1990. I'm asking why that was the cutoff? Why not 1980? Why not 2000? Why not the beginning of the entire league?

Not false narratives.

Suns finished 10th in the West last year with 34 wins and got the 10th pick.

You want us to be a perennial 8-11 seed and hopefully land in the 10-14 range.

You fall in the bottom 14 and you have a chance to move up.

It truly is ridiculous also his initial insistence on only talking about top 3 (and now top 6) lotto picks was also a head scratcher.

Just the past 20 years, We have Dirk (1), Kobe (5), Lebron (1), Wade (3), Duncan (4), Curry (3). 17 of the last 20 champions. But we're not allowed to talk about half of them since they weren't top 3 or top 6. lol

Where do most people think the Raptors will land if they trade Lowry and say Norm? Like what do people think realistically will happen?

Are most here thinking they will be a bottom 3 team? Bottom 5? Bottom 7? Where is it that you think they'll be? Norm is basically a fungible player. Lowry might cost some wins.. but he might not.. the team rallies when he's not there.

I think they might make the playoffs as an 8th seed team. With an outside chance at the lottery.. but in the 10-14 range.

And I don't think that's a tank. That's the 7-11 range that people are ultimately dreading.

Like what's the "tank" strategy here? Should we trade Fred and Lowry? Fire Nurse? Siakam isn't playing great, so I assume you'd keep him. Or is he to be traded as well?

We won like two games this season because Norm started and balled out.

If he and Lowry (our best player) are gone we'll be a lotto team.

Yes he's our best player.. but I think he's more important for the playoffs than the regular season. We have too much guard depth as it is.. but where in the lottery do you see them? 10-14 range or lower?

And what about the players we get back for Norm and Lowry. Would they add a win or two, or no?

Play GM and give me a trade scenario. Then let me know what lottery pick they will get.

Because I really don't see bottom 5 or 7 team here. That's probably less likely than Giannis asking to be traded this summer and wanting to go to Toronto.

Well, we just finished the easiest stretch of our season and we're currently tied for the 8th pick in the draft. After this week we have the 3rd hardest schedule to finish the season.

The way I see it, Norm and Lowry gone frees up 45-50 minutes for our young guys.
