Holy treadmill. No way we bring in Dragic to start over Trent. Would be dumb.
Bring Dragic off the bench, allow him to up his numbers against weaker competition and get his trade value up before flipping him at the deadline.

Hopefully we can get a good deal for him right now though. Would be nice to move him for a first round pick.

Not a treadmill when Flynn, Barnes, OG, Trent, Achiuwa are all 24 and under. And FVV and Siakam are entering their primes. This isnt a treadmill team by any means.. its a young team rebuilding

Dragic wasn't offered at the deadline. And what would be the point of taking on Dragic for two months and then letting him walk. Now we can trade him off for additional assets or keep him and trade him at the deadline. It's not like there won't be minutes for him here.

I do find funny all the days of negotiations and finagling to end up with 0 extra assets than what was originally thought to be involved lol. Wasted everyone time waiting.

But it wouldn't have been free talent. It would have been someone like Holmes and maybe another fringe player instead of picking up Precious. Everything has an opportunity cost.

Cuz he's going to get squeezed out methinks. Dekker is a solid shooter and will be needed on that 2nd unit. With Achiuwa, Boucher's play is less needed.

It's nice to want free agents but in reality...how many free agents actually have Toronto on their lists?
