Miller definitely is smooth. He's an NBAer no doubt.

Right, just because he's a senior, you can't ignore his beasting. I think he could be like Bam Adebayo.

Too bad we couldn't trade the first round this year for Jak instead of next year's pick. :x

He is an NBA starter. No doubt in my mind about it. Some team will probably get him to try to work on a 3 point shot but it likely won't pan out but won't matter if you surround him with 3 point shooters.

If he can play C in the NBA, yes absolutely. Even if he doesn't develop a shot, he could be a Bam Adebayo type guy. His assets numbers are so impressive for a big

That's not a bad comparison in terms of the statistical profile aside from FT% and BLK. Carlos Boozer is another close comparison. I'd say Bam is better running the PnR and as a midrange jump shooter. But there are a lot of similarities as well being rim runners and guys who can feast inside due to skill, touch and solid handles for bigs. In terms of footwork, touch and finishing ability at the rim I think TJD is slightly better even. I like TJD's personality too, seems intelligent.

They won because Musselman kept Smith Jr out of the game as much as possible.

I think people have to remember Smith Jr shouldn't have come back. He's still hurt, he wanted to show heart but it hurt his draft stock. I watched him walking today, he has a slight limp. It doesn't matter, I know I can't convince this board he's actually a good player when healthy so I'll let it go.

His numbers and contribution is so awful even on a good team that unless he's a Morant/Lebron level athlete somehow brought back to normal human form I don't see how he can contribute at the NBA level. I mean he makes his college team worse currently. Playing at his current level he's probably not good enough to play in the mid to top European leagues, let alone the NBA. I honestly wouldn't take him with the last pick in the draft if we had the 58th overall pick or whatever.

edit: still have him ahead of JHS

He’s going to be one of those 10 year pros who everyone looks at and says their team got great value out of.

I sure hope next years team is better than this season. Also next year draft is supposed to be pretty weak….like historically weak.

One thing I haven’t seen floated is the possibility multiple rookies (first round picks from ‘23) could be on Raptors next year if an OG trade finally happens.

Could be similar to 2016 with Poeltl, Siakam, FVV as rookies and Wright, Norm as second years. In a situation like that a legit starting C likely more desirable than another rookie in 2024. And that was the core of the bench mob.

Depth has to be addressed and I think OG is the key to make it happen while providing luxury tax breathing room.

I can see Steven Adams. Should go 10-15. Golden State should draft him since they might sign and trade Draymond and Wiseman was shipped off. Good backup to Looney and play the PF. They have so many 3pt shooters that they don't need their C to shoot. TJD is a really good passer too. Ugh, actually I hope a different team picks him. :banghead:

Marcus Sasser is that guy...and Jamal Shead are going to be solid pros. Similar to Randy Foye and Kyle Lowry for Villanova.

Baylor are going to need Keyonte George's shots to fall at a high clip today if they want to have any chance at beating Creighton. Baylor is 335th in the nation in 2P% defense and 228th in rebounding and 308th in blocked shots. Kalkbrenner will feast inside.

The only way Baylor wins is if the refs blow the whistle and get Creighton's starting 5 into foul trouble which they have largely avoided all year as a unit, or if George absolutely pops off shooting. 2 for 9 from the field ain't gonna cut it.
