This ignores the reality of the situation which is that we won't have max cap space after extending Poeltl - who isn't on the table for Durant allegedly - and that we. Don't. Get. Marquee. Free. Agents.

It's like we've learned nothing from literally every free agency class ever. Unless you're the Leafs, Toronto sports teams don't get the big fish.

Highly doubt he gets traded to Toronto given that it would probably have to be a 3-way deal since Jak isn't involved.

RJ + 9 <<<<< miamis offer lol

The most recent account by Ficsher was that the Suns were "trying to coax #9 from the Raptors", which suggests the 9th pick isn't on the table.

Nor should it be on the table for that rental.

League sources say that the Suns' Durant discussions in recent days have likewise featured attempts to coax, say, Toronto to part with its No. 9 overall pick on Wednesday night.

He was already barely a top-20 player this year, and his decline is only going to accelerate from here. Trading anything more than scraps for KD at this point would be extremely foolish.

He needs to go somewhere where he can be a second or third option. He's nowhere close to being able to lead a team to playoff success anymore. He couldn't even get the Suns into the play-in this year.

26/4/4 on 63TS% is closer to top 10 than top 20.

You can be against the deal and at least still be truthful.

Basketball is also a team game, the suns being a **** shiw with 3 primary scorers, no PG, and no C, isn’t KDs fault
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Is that "new" news?

Masai doesn't even want KD. He's just hyping Yak's value across the league.

#34 in EPM, #34 in DARKO, #21 in BPM. He's an iso scorer. He needs to be overwhelming teams with his scoring to have an impact, and he just can't do that anymore. He also can't play defence anymore.

Again, there is a reason he could barely lead the Suns to a better record than the injured, tanking Raptors this year. He's still a good player, but he cannot be the first option and lead a team to success anymore.

And he'll be one year older next season.

Page after page of actual nonsense. Old man Durant doesn’t want to be a Raptor, and the FO has no interest in him either.

We’re literally only being used for leverage and views/clicks.

Move along. Y’all just wasting time.

Let me clarify, I think we would want to get off some money for some flexibility. Yea I dont think any FA coming here is a plan

He's definitely not a top 10 player anymore, and he's declining every year. It doesn't really make sense to go hard after him when he's a depreciating asset.

Things should pick up steam tomorrow once the finals are done.

Don’t think the nba wanted a big trade happening during the finals.

I am not stressed about him getting traded. What stresses me out is people doing fake trades, that we know that wont happen, because it already is confirmed player XY isnt part of it. Replace Poeltl with any other player, and i would react the same.

Primarily from the corners, where RJ has thrice shot 40%+, including both of the past two seasons.

The 12th is an interesting piece potentially, but only if that player actually works out. I dunno, it just doesn't feel like a particularly strong move. ConSarnit does have a point about our FO's strength being in the draft, though, so there is that.
