At 9-12 where do you stand?

Tank World Order: Hope the team continues its downward trajectory so that they can add another top lottery pick talent to the core of Barnes and OG?

On the other hand if you're gonna win it might as well come from one of the players you are keeping for the long haul, good game by OG.

If OG and/or Barnes ball out then it's more of a win than a loss.

Can't believe we've been able to hold it down with all these injuries. As the broadcast team mentioned today, Pascal hadn't played with OG since the 15th of November. Our starting lineup has only played in 3 games together all year.

There were a few fake wins tonight, most notably OKC and Atlanta but we got ourselves a really tight playoff race here. Cavs, Sixers, Hornets, Celtics, Wizards, Knicks and Hawks are all bunched up with us. Only 3 games back of 5th.

Since the schedule gods keep giving us a bunch of fake wins I'm going start posting guys in that 10-16 level more often.

I have fun busting Los' "chops" (can't use other words) but I do legit agree to some minor extent we won't be bad enough to finish better than top 10 and just dreading we end up a 7 or 8 seed to get a 1st round stomping n kill any chances to fluke into a top 4 or just overall improve our odds to catch someone who slipped in the draft.

Not sure if you're old enough to drink Los but cheers from tWo, we all just want another ring.

That would be false advertising, that team isn't competing for anything of significance.

Got NYK and SAS in our next two. Good chance of getting to .500 there.

Wonder what our record would be had we had a reasonably healthy lineup? 18-14? 19-13?

Pascal had 25/19/7/2/2 tonight. Wonder if Masai will do what TwO wants and ship him off for some late FRP's. I don't think he will though, Masai is "Team Compete."

Yeah late FRP's are definitely not it. But the point is trading all-star or fringe all-star caliber assets entering their prime never works out. It's a dumb idea and that is why FVV and Pascal are still on this team. You don't build basketball teams by trading away these guys for low level assets.

And that's what I don't get. Why would we tank but not the Hawks? What assets do the Hawks have aside from Trae Young? They are 15-19 with guys like John Collins and Clint Capela as their 2nd and 3rd best players. Should they tank for a running mate as well? They had the 6th pick last year and got Okongwu, got Hunter and Reddish with the 4th and 10th picks two years ago. Why have they had three lottery picks and been unable to get a proper #2 to pair with Trae. Could it be that the draft is for the most part, a crapshoot and finding all-star caliber players isn't actually that easy? The funny part is their 2nd and 3rd best players were drafted outside the lottery.

I'm finding lots of holes with this tanking strategy here.

Don't tell "team compete" that! We're competing and growing organicly, right now! And if we lose the playin tournament we'll have 5% equity at a top picks and like...what... a 2.5% chance of getting a nonbust at the top of the lottery. Everyone wins, even Del will be happy with that!

I want to bold this entire post, but that would feel reduntant somehow. Instead I'll just quote it and say "strongly.agree". Hopefully this divergent crew of tWo miscreants can learn something from you, somehow.

As we enter 2022, some questions about TwO must be asked.

Will there be some dissension within the TwO ranks during 2022? The Raptors seem mediocre "to compete" enough to keep TwO members on the same page for the rest of 2021/2022.

But will there be some friction after some more moves and picks are made entering the 2022/2023 season. When will TwO ultimately split into two factions?

Also will Los29 make a stunning heel turn and join TwO in the next few months.

It's only a matter of time. I am speaking from experience.
